mysteryman5150
I have made a mesh and texture (matched the path in to texture in NifSkope) then, in the geck, I created an outfit for Jenny Stahl and added it to her inventory and removed the old outfit. In the geck the outfit shows up when you look at the armor file and click edit so I know it linked up, plus I can use it via console commands. the problem is that when I go into the game she is still wearing her default RoboCo Jumpsuit. I have no problems with the other outfits I created for specific characters, which leads me to my question. Are there some characters that are somehow hard wired (hidden code) to specific items and therefore you cannot change those items for those characters? Any info would be appreciated. FYI- I also checked in the FO3Edit and it is showing my modded outfit with the new reference number. Sorry this is so long, I just like to get all the details out there. Thank you. Baelkin
This might sound silly, but have you enabled your mod? :s In any case, I can confirm that outfits of NPCs are not hardcoded as it took all but five minutes to add a different outfit to Jenny Stahl on my system, so I think you have a problem somewhere in your implementation pipeline or you simply forgot to enable the mod. Exactly what the problem is I can't say, but if your outfit is in a separate .esp from the change of gear on the NPC, then that might be the cause as I believe .esps can't use content from each other. I could be wrong though, I haven't been mucking about a lot with .esp dependencies.
mysteryman5150
Thanks Baelkin. I did figure it out. I was in a save game where she had already loaded in a cell. Therefore I had to resurrect her to get her in her new outfit. I appreciate the response though.
