Retribution
Well, due to some problems I had with FCOM, I had to uninstall Oblivion. I went through the menu and uninstalled it, and it said the process was finished. However, the Bethesda Softworks- Oblivion- Data, etc. folders are still there, as well as all of my mods, and I believe some official files. My Bethesda Softworks folder is 4.5 gigabytes, and I have all of FCOM installed. However, whenever I try simply to delete my entire Bethesda Softworks folder, I get a bad pool header. How do I get rid of these folders without this problem?
dezdimona
you may have to delete individually or create a new folder and move a bunch of mods into it and then delete that.personnally I've never had that problem, so my answer is strictly a guess! Retribution
Thank you, I'll try that. I thought that uninstalling oblivion was supposed to remove the folders it created, but I suppose it doesn't. Never actually had this problem before. dezdimona
it leaves behind some folders, but you remove them manually. did you try dragging them out of your game folder and then deleting them?
bben46
It may also leave behind some registry entries that will come back to 'byte' you if you reinstall. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=
Retribution
Thank you very much, I eventually just "waded" through a series of bad pool headers, until everything was deleted, however it was to no avail, because FCOM still won't work properly for me. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=143176 :D
