I'm using Realvision + CoT (night version 8 and 4 for the weather patch if it's relevant (not actually sure if I need both either)) + RLO + Warmer Magic Lights ( original Warmer one which in my game is brighter/bigger than the 3x bigger version lol).

Here's my steam library, only the relevant pics will show. In one of the pics I've cast a mage light on the wall and the whole place is kinda flood lit. So is there a setting in enbseries.ini that affects magic lights and fire lights (fires in my game seem to be too dim, they have a small light radius and it kinda looks like someone has thrown sun glasses on me)?

Also any changes to my enb either in game or directly changing the enbseries.ini don't work they revert back when I hit apply after making changes in game (there's no real-time effect/result either) and they're just default values if I make changes to the .ini itself.

P.S. You'll also see two other pics in my library of some miss matching snow textures any ideas what that's about? I'm using driggers tpc and I was using the tfc command to get a proper look (didn't fly off far though).

Thanks for any help.

CoT, RLO, and most other lighting mods tend to look really bad when paired with ENB. Depending on the ENB you are using, it is most likely that the settings exacerbate certain lighting features and "lessen" others. I had the same super-dark interior issue with RLO and ENB running. I currently use Saraan Suum ENB with ELFX --ELFX might have a few light placements/ changes I dislike, but overall, it looks great- and was intended to be used with my current ENB.

Ah, thanks for the reply. Realvision is supposed to be designed for RLO and CoT (also has a version for CoT and ELFX) but I guess it could be that, maybe it doesn't play well with the warmer magic lights? I'm thinking of trying/switching to ELFX anyway so when I get some time I might swap over and see how that looks.

- Edit

The author of Realvision actually says they're essential mods for his preset and looking at his pics they all seem brighter than mine, so think it's something else but I'll definately keep that in mind when looking at other enb's to try thanks :)

Could be that the version of Realvision is outdated (if you're using a more current version of ENB, it might not be working the same way). This is because whenever Boris releases a new binary for ENB, there are usually changes to what/ how certain effects work, and sometimes new effects (like mist in the most recent release) change the way a preset looks entirely. For example, using the "ultimate" edition of Saraan Suum with the most recent binary works beautifully, but using an older version of the same preset produces much different results (the days are dark as vanilla night, fires have a much more restricted bloom, etc.).

The only other possibility is that not all of the ENB effects are being utilized by your computer: this is most commonly due to users (like myself) running the game on Windows 8 (well, I think more specifically it's Windows 8.1). There's a .dll in a zip floating around somewhere that fixes this; "Optimus Fix" for Windows 8, or something similar (you'll find it via Google somewhere on a forum-looking post that explains what it is and what it does). The same problem affects a number of people using the "A-something" graphics cards (there's some common graphics card aside from Nvidia that starts with an "a", but the name escapes me at the moment).

All really helpfull points thanks a ton.

I need to update my enb series (there's 1 newer version out) and probably Realvisoin also. I'm running windows 8.1 and I have an AMD card (I'ts AMD your thinking of I think). So looks like I'll have to try all these fixes out lol. I'll let you know if they work

- Edit

Sorry it's my other PC that has an AMD card this one is Nvidia so unless you meant ASUS which is the brand of both of my cards it looks like I have one less thing to do. :)

Ok, I've updated both enbseries and Realvision ENB and the issue is resolved. Not tried the fix for win 8.1 but I'll wait and see how things go before I mess with anything else.

Thanks for the help spadesage.

- Edit

Just went through my enb settings in game and they were the defaults, re ran the vbs file that installs realvisions presets and it's back to the way it was so it must be intentional. Looks like I'll have to find out why I can't change the enbseries settings and then play around with them or find a new enb. Sorry for that, and thanks anyway.
