Audio help

Hello guys,

The other day,i decided to uninstall Divx player and reinstall it because it was acting wierd.After uninstall.My audio stopped working fully.In windows media player,When i try to open a music file it says

 

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

 

No audio works on my computer.I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver for the on-board audio device 2 times.it does not work.It continues to say the above.I have an Intel desktop board d101ggc with ATI Radeon Xpress and High Definition sound.

possibilities

 

(1) This can be an issue where the drivers may not be enabled through the bios, if you have reinstalled them again. That could be a possibility.

 

(2) In your case where the audio stoped playing all together, that can be a failure of your onboard sound.

 

(3) Or have you tried different players like vlc or winamp, just to see if its just the media player acting up.

 

also whats your system specs so we can have a greater picture on what could be the problem.

That's another thing,

It doesn't show up on any program like System requirements lab and such

Not even in the list of hardware.
