arena redroom gate wont open

hello guys,

 

i have a very annoying problem which must be solved. in the bloodworks arena, when i talk to owyn for a match, he says go to redroom. the gate doesnt open. when i tcl through it, in arena no opponent, announcer wont start speech. for me, this looks like the quest gets stuck at a particular point. the gate does not open because the quest does not progress. of course, there might be another conflict which i am not aware of, such as a mod which causes this (i have many mods working). i tried to disable mods and check if a mod made this bug, but i was not successfull.

 

i googled this bug, seeing i was not alone with this problem, but these guys didnt get no answer, just the usual "check your mods etc" which doesnt help for me. maybe u guys know what causes this ?? it annoys me very much since i LOVE the arena. and no dont ask, i disabled all arena mods i had, problem not solved.

 

i use wyrebash, latest oblivion patch, and start oblivion with script extender, maybe its a script bug??

Hmmm. Interesting.

 

Well, first, actually, you should check your mods - or rather listing here those you have. I'm certain that if there's a problem with them, then probably someone knows of it.

 

Also, maybe you should try a console command and reset arena quest, if nothing helps. But I would better try finding which one causes the problem. And probably a mod not directly related to arena can do this.

A very impressive list, such an amount of mods will certainly have a conflict somewhere there and I would run a check if I were you, but that's an unimportant observation.

 

Most of your mods seem to be companion, cloth-armor and pose mods, which are likely out of suspicion. However, you say those mods are your currently active ones and you turned off all arena mods previously. And yet three mods related to arena are on the list. Were they on during your last attempt? These ones:

I found the third one in the files section and it looks clear to me, however the other two look suspicious, especially the first one. Are they on now? And do you have any save before starting the quest to try it without any arena mods?

it is as i expected.

 

i unloaded the arena mods aggain. tried my current savegame. no change. i tried an older savegame, where i didnt have the quest yet. its just the same.

 

i dont know if this is important, but i got a feeling that the following bug is quite the same or involved in my problem: at some oblivion gates, when i get the sigil stone to close them, they dont close. i have to close them by console. i cant remember if this occured after i installed a mod or not, its too long ago. :confused:

 

maybe these 2 problems have the same root? i dont know, do you? btw Sarya: i thank you for trying to help me very very much! :thanks:

Honestly I'm out of ideas. I don't know if a turned off mod can still affect your savegames, probably it can happen but I have no idea. If a earlier pre-quest save is also affected then resetting a quest is useless. I would probably advice turning off anything suspicious and start a new game to test if the problem is solved, but well, that won't help your current saves.
