Oppressor
Hello, I have a big problem with getting custom hair in FO3. Texture seems to be ok in 3ds max and NifSkope, but it looks weird in GECK. Any help?http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6629/hairtexturelol.th.jpg
mechine
Check it in game, Don't check it in GECK. The reason being if it looks good in game, but it doesn't look good in GECK, we don't really care. Also You know I don't really use GECk to preview, so long as you can pick the mesh in geckfor the model an it doesn't make GECK crash, then you should be in a pretty good spot with it.Then just preview ingame, using groovatron's vanity camera or the command TFC in the ~ command line. I've been using paintnet for a while so I wouldn't have to convert to an from .dds formatsTrue paintnet probalby isn't as good as some of the others, but it sure is fast, loads fast, makes edits fastsaves with bitmaps in the image, and there's maybe 500 plug in's for it, I just found a normal map plug in for it. Anywho I use that an a false data file on the desktop that nifscope looks at for textures, giving fast edit's an 3d previews, then move it into the games data folder close to the last step, cause you really don't knowhow it's going to turn out, I delete a lot of stuff, lolz because it didn't turn out. Oppressor
Same thing ingame. Modding FO3 is painful as I expected. I'll just try to make anything else, maybe armor or a headgear.http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/9204/hairingame.th.jpg
laffindude
Make sure "has vertex color" in nitrishapedata or nitristripdata is yes.
