aquiles123
Hello all, All I wanna do is make the "awesomeunderwear" from the "awesomeunderwear" mod have the appearance of a regulator duster. Not a single tutorial regarding GECK or NIFTOOLS has been remotely helpful with doing this. How would I go about altering the appearance of this item? Thanks, - Pepe
neunen
do you mean that you want to be wearing a duster instead of underwear, or that you want to have the underwear look like its made from the same material as the duster? if its the former, then there is no retexturing or remodeling required. open the mod with the geck, locate the armor (awesome underwear), open it, and under the biped model drop down select the mesh that the duster uses. save the mod. aquiles123
do you mean that you want to be wearing a duster instead of underwear, or that you want to have the underwear look like its made from the same material as the duster? if its the former, then there is no retexturing or remodeling required. open the mod with the geck, locate the armor (awesome underwear), open it, and under the biped model drop down select the mesh that the duster uses. save the mod. I want the former. However, I've tried that, but when I go to save, it tells me I must do so under a new name, as the awesomeunderwear mod only shows up in connection to the main file. Yet when I try to activate the new mod I've created by saving it under a new name, or the old mod, it doesn't work. Is this a problem with GECK? Another thing I've noticed is that I always get a "not responding" error and have to close it with the task manager when I'm done. Does this mean that it doesn't save the modifications I've performed because of that error? It tells me that it's confirmed the save even before I go to close GECK and see the error message. neunen
make sure you are setting the "awesome underwear" mod as the active mod. otherwise it will think you want to create a new mod dependent on the loaded mods. (theres a button that says set as active mod or plugin) so in the list, check off the main esm, then check off the awesomeunderwear.esp, then hit the button to turn the awesomeunderwear.esp to the active mod... i think double clicking has the same effect. the geck almost always hangs when i try to exit it. but a good way to tell if your mod needs saving or not: if there is an * next to the file name that means the mod has been changed since the last save. just click the save button and the asterisk should disappear, then even though it doesnt feel nice, it wont matter when the geck crashes on exit.
