rkatt
Installed RealVision ENB Full, and while it looks amazing, I can barely play Skyrim with all the stuttering and freezing and crashing. Suggestions? I'm using ENB 0.251. I've removed dirty edits from installed mods. I've edited the skyrim, enb, and skse ini files to suggested performance and stability settings. I updated SKSE to the Alpha build (1.7.0) and using Memory Blocks Log. I'm using textures no larger than 2K (that I know of). Will optimizing textures make a huge difference? I have not tried this yet. I wish Behesda would create a 64-bit version of Skyrim to utilize more than 3.1GB RAM limited by the 32-bit version. rkatt
I'll have to try this when I get home... rkatt
While I'm at it, I'll try this too... Install SMCO and optimize your Texture folder (just follow the instructions in the description).Download True Stutter Fix, open antilag.cfg and set RenderAheadLimit=2 and FPSlimit=0. Rename d3d9.dll to d3d9_antilag.dll, and then copy these files into your Skyrim folder (where Skyrim.exe is located). If you are asked to overwrite anything, this means that you did not rename your d3d9.dll yet, so make sure to do so.Install the ENB of your choice, as long as it has ENBoost support (OP can ignore this as he already has an ENB installed). Open enblocal and edit the following: Under [PROXY] set EnableProxyLibrary=true, InitProxyFunctions=true, and ProxyLibrary=d3d9_antilag.dll; Under [MEMORY] set ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 and VideoMemorySizeMb=2048; Under [WINDOW] set ForceBorderless=true; Under [LIMITER] set EnableFPSLimit=false; Save and close enblocal.Run SkyrimLauncher, go to options, and disable Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering. Check the box next to "Windowed Mode", and then set your resolution to what it had been in fullscreen mode (such as 1920x1080). Then hit OK.Edit Skyrim.ini and make sure uGridsToLoad=5.Edit SkyrimPrefs.ini and edit the following: Under [Display] set iPresentInterval=0; Under [TerrainManager] set fBlockMaximumDistance=350000, fBlockLevel1Distance=90000, and fBlockLevel0Distance=45000; Save and close.Highlight Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini and right click > Properties and select Read Only (this will make it so nothing can edit either of these files, but if you want to manually edit them in the future you will have to de-select Read Only before you can save the files). Finally, download NVIDIA Inspector and follow the STEP guide to create your Skyrim Profile (remember that you are using an ENB, so follow the guide accordingly). Enable V-Sync in the Inspector, and set the Frame Rate Limiter to 35 or 40. Once you're done, hit "Apply Changes" in the top-right corner. Now, simply run Skyrim with the skse_loader and enjoy! rkatt
It would seem that adjusting the value in the memory blocks ini helped a litle bit but alas I gave up and reinstalled using 1k textures and followed the STEP guide. As a result, my savegame load times are half as long, my dialogue menus are quicker, and no macro-stutters at all, only very few micro-stutters (barely noticable). Thank you STEP!!! The very minimal micro-stutters are probably the result of me taking it a bit further by installing Climates Of Tamriel, Supreme Storms, Realistic Lighting Overhaul, Project Parallax, and RealVisionENB (basically I just followed steps 2 and 3 on the RealVisionENB page plus Parallax) after following the STEP guide. Looks incredible! The very miniaml micro-stutters are far less obtrusive than any kind of lag you would experience in any online multi-player game. It takes more time to blink. Other thoughts: I stayed away from body replacers (like CBBE and UNP) and apachii sky hair. Instead I installed a few stand-alone followers that don't require any other mods to be installed. That way, all my NPCs are unaffected by body replacers and textures (kept seeing darker faces on most of the NPCs when I used body replacers).
