Fallout 3 Crashes after "Take it Back!" prior to Broken

I just finished the "Take it Back!" The videos narrated by Ron Perlman Play but then Fallout 3 Crashes before "Broken Steel" can start. ( Yes I have Broken Steel, so you don't have to ask.) I'm patched to 1.6 and my CPU has 2 GB of RAM. This is the message I receive at the crash:

The instruction at "0x0062741" referenced memory at "0x0000000". The memory could not be read.

Does anyone have an idea what I can do?

Thanks,

I get the same crash, it has to do with mods, I disable all mine then it works., but after that none of the broken steel quests work.

I reinstalled everything and now fallout 3 won't start at all if I have mods it just crashes with the same message. Why would I not be able to use mods now?
