WhiteLycanXII
First off: I've never tried to RP before, and this is my first attempt at a premise. Here's how it works: No stats, just story. When you start, your character, however strong you believe him or her to be, is just a novice adventurer. The storyline starts when I get three other adventurers besides myself to join. Insulting other roleplayers won't be tolerated here. Bad attitudes, and bad blood will be story based, and the only flaming I hope to see are trolls. The fantasy kind not the forum kind. You must define the bases of your character, a basic overall description is all that's necessary.Example:Name, Age, Ethnicity: Joe Randolf, 19, Caucasian Job: Apprentice Civil Guardian of the Deamonsbane Brotherhood Civil Patrol (the BCP for short.)Skills:Basic swords, basic guns. Does not show any potential in the use of the magic arts. Okay, on to the setting! An alternate modern day, an ancient brotherhood of knights sworn to hold back the tides of daemons from an otherworld has until recently existed in secret. For many ages, they have kept the daemons supressed with minimal incedents, however, the daemon incedents have become more and more frequent, so the only way to continue the fight was to go public, recruit and train the common citizen in the ways of fighting against the daemon horde. Government institutions became established, and the brotherhood became integrated as a civil service branch like that of the Police and the Military. As a progressive measure, the brotherhood adopted a modern weapons program, customizing and outfitting modern firearms to be able to kill daemons as effectively as the weapons forged of the sacred ore needed to slay them. There are several factions within the brotherhood, in the list as follows:-Apprenticeship: The new recruits.-Civil post: People designated to combat smaller urban threats.-Knights of Daemonsbane: Handle larger scale assaults from the otherworld.-Guild of the Blade: Adept swordsmen, but also includes those who wield other melee weapon types.-Guild of the Arrow: Originally adept marksmen with bows and crossbows, the faction strayed from it's namesake when the brotherhood integrated as a governmental entity. Now those who specialize in modern firearms have taken the majority of members of this faction. -Guild of the Staff: Adept mages and the faction with the fewest members. There are few people remaining who have the ability to channel the power of runes and as such, magick is a fading art.-Guild of the Way:Veterans of battle who retired to take on the role of teaching the next generation of knights. -Guild of the Cloak: The covert ops and special investigations. Members of this faction answer only to Eldest Trinity themselves.-Guild of the Forge: They simply create weapons for brotherhood knights and work with the government to develop newer weapons to drive back the horde.-Guild of the Tome:Librarians. Documented history of battles, types of deamons, etc. Most of them do not fight, they mostly document and research. A couple do fight, however. -Guild of Heroes: Legendary knights who've survived some of the worst and are mentioned in many epic tales of past battles.-Elder Trinity: They rule over the brotherhood. Determine it's fate, and make the critical choices in times of strife. The main HQ of the brotherhood is an ancient castle, nestled somewhere in the mountains of Europe. The castle was recently renovated to facilitate the new members gained from other military branches. As I said, this RP is more about story than stats, but the story is made as the RP goes along. I'll start with a narrative introduction as soon as at least three others jump on. You can start as: an apprentice, from the civil post, from the blade guild, the arrow guild, or the staff guild. I'm going to be moderating this a bit, so that the characters are varied in skills. If you decide to join my RP, than thanks! Glad to have ya.
