gigantibyte
GECK can play only .WAV files. You must specify GetIsID condition in your topic (must be same to Speaker in your Note)Try different program to encode .OGG files(when i tried "Free Audio Converter" game won't play them, another programm works well)and,of course, you must put this .OGG in right place (sounds\voice\Your plugin name\Yor speaker Voice Type (see in Voice Type section)) Still having problems. I did all you suggested, but I still get warnings in GECK. Forgetting the custom holodisk for now, I'm having problems just creating a sound resource in Miscellaneous > Sound. I notice that all other objects in this section show the path of the audio file. If I try to create a new resource here, the path to the audio file I select does not register. I created ogg files with both Sony Sound Forge and Audacity, but neither work. I'm hoping I'm in the wrong section, but Quest > Topics > New Response > Sound File, seems to draw from Miscellaneous > Sound.
Dyadya_Fedor
I'm hoping I'm in the wrong section, but Quest > Topics > New Response > Sound File, seems to draw from Miscellaneous > Sound.Yes, when specified it will be played instead of voice file. For Miscellaneous > Sound .WAV file MUST be placed in the Data\Sound\Fx\ folder (Data\Sound\Fx\My_folder\ if you like) But, looks like, sounds doesn't work for Notes(when you set Note Type to Sound (or i miss something?)) Let's start from beginning:1)Create your Speaker NPC (or use existing one)2)Create new quest (or use existing one - "AudioHolotapes" for example) and create new topic in Topic tab (in the Edit Response tab type in what you want ant close it for now)3)Specify GetIsID condition (your Speaker NPC) and reopen your Edit Response tab - there should be only one entry in Voice Type. 4)Look at Path column - it show path to resource file (just replace .mp3 to .wav)5)Create a new note (or copy existing one) and set Note Type to Voice6)Set Speaker to your Speaker NPC ant Topic to your topic Should work. (if it so, then you can experiment replacing .wav eith .ogg)
gigantibyte
Should work. THANK YOU! What I didn't realize prior to following your instructions, is that the needed directories are created automatically. And I was definitely in the wrong section (misc > sounds). I also didn't realize I needed to rename my files to match what was generated by GECK. My holodisk finally works, but I think I have a long road ahead of me before I ever get a quest released.
