After the Battle mod

I am think of making a mod where its the after effects of the Battle for Hoover Dam so if you side with the NCR the Mojave will be controlled just by the NCR and have a whole new look to it. Like all the outposts will be manned and the bases will be upgraded as well as BoS patrols along the highways there still will be people to fight and other thing to do in the Mojave, but i also want to include making a new land like Arizona or someplace else where the Legion is located and make a place where there are more quests to do with the NCR. I also want to make the another mod but just with the Legion so if you side with them the Mojave will be controlled by the legion and there would be a new world in California where you would be able to do more quests with them. Obviously i can't really do this alone so i'm going to need help on this, like people who know how to make quests, people to help with the new lands and other stuff. so if you would like to volunteer and help out that would be great!. You can message me on this or by my email at [email protected] or just simply reply so if anyone wants to help let me know.

There exist basic mods that allow the player to keep playing after Hoover Dam, and there's a fair bit of cut content intended for post-dam (NPC dialogue and such), but this would still be a truly enormous mod. I can't write code or use the GECK for the life of me, but I'd be more than happy to help with voice acting and writing.

what are those mods called?, and don't worry about not knowing how to use the GECK there are many helpful tutorials that have help me get familiar with it.

Took me a while, but here's what I was looking for -

www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42428/

He's made it available as a modder's resource, so it might well come in handy. Seems that the majority of the groundwork is finished, thankfully, so our job would primarily be to flesh out the post-endgame world.

It's also worth noting that I'm in my final two years of school, so my time to devote to this project would be limited. However, as I said, I'm more than willing to provide any writing, ideas and voice acting necessary (although I'm not American, which might cause some problems), and I might even learn to use the GECK to help out with the actual creation of the mod.

ok thanks, i'll most likely use it then add on to it. i'll just have to figure out what he added on to the mod so that this one doesn't interfere with it.

Not for asset use, you'll have to contact him to get permission. I'v been working on a post hoover dam mod for a while (in this thread, An independent New Vegas mod) and it can be complicated. I wouldn't recommend it as one of your first mods.....it can be fairly involved.

yeah i understand the whole getting permission from the people of whoever created the mod, and also how far are you in your mod?

p.s i don't care if it gets complicated cause i love challenging myself.

Well, if someone else is working on such a mod already, it would quite likely be better if we joined in with your work, Devinpatterson. Consider my services volunteered if you need anything at all that I can provide.

That would be great MarchUntoTorment. LuciaofArroyo is handling the hoover dam town based on it's Van Buren incarnation. But I'm currently I'm carrying most of the actual modding for the rest of the project. I do have a lot of contributors bringing in ideas and plot lines, which helps a great deal. Any modding skills would be a lot of help, but work on the storylines is also greatly appreciated.

What modding skills do you excel at or prefer? Once we pin that down we can start collaborating much more efficiently. I'll try to whip up a development log this weekend.

That comment was in reference to it being a modders resource....simply clarifying that it isn't and has strict permissions.

All battle conditions are cleared (except for a few persistent bugs, some ambient and a few NPC behaviors) via script (to allow customization of each faction ending). Currently working on extending plot and story lines. Some new assets created (NCR securitrons, new ranger armament, new BOS eyebot models the brotherhood, new home bases that are faction specific etc).

LuciaofArroyo has her own set of assets (NPC's etc) separate from the main mod.

We also have a second track expanding storylines for each official DLC. Currently these are just exploring plot lines for DLC's, except for OWB which I have already started creating assets (and one beta mod) for. Located here;
