RandomArt
So, basically, I made an island well outside the boundaries of the normal world (cell -57,-27) and I am currently just filling it with houses from the Anvil set, as they're all white stone with terracotta rooves. There are currently 30+ houses, but I'll need to do the interiors and stuff after I finish making the city itself, which, to be completely honest, I am clueless about seeing as I can't seem to find the doors in the Construction Set... I also planning on adding a set of docks with several ships, as well as an easily accessible one in case you happen to have a sailing mod and want to sail your ship their, this is also why I don't have the island in it's separate world space. I'll probably make the island even bigger to include an acropolis Originally, this was supposed to be a small project since I'd overpopulated my last residence with Mercenaries and CM Partners, but I started working on it and the island just got bigger and bigger, so I think I'm going to have to add custom NPC's, which, again, I have absolutely no idea how to do, but I'm going to figure it out and include a wide variety of people, hopefully about 100 all told. I plan on including dwarves from Cubefreaky's mod. So, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas, they would be greatly appreciated.
David Brasher
It sounds like a cool island. I think you should have a blacksmith shop, an alchemy shop, a clothes store, a magic shop, a general merchandise shop, and an inn. I suggest that you have at least three quests offered by the NPC's of your town. (The more the better!) One of them should involve a full-size dungeon, perhaps in the sewers, in a cave, in a partially flooded grotto, in a basement, or in a castle. I have downloaded some house and village mods that were so boring that I removed them. If there is good shopping and exciting adventure on your island, people will love to visit it. You could have a beautiful beach with no mudcrabs or slaughterfish! I suggest that you have transportation to your island. You could have a ferry, a Mage Guild-style portal, or a Morrowind-style guild guide. You could charge for these services. You could have a library in your town with a great selection of books. Try not to put too many NPCs in one cell, or the game will lag. You can have 100 NPC's, just spread them out and keep most of them indoors. To find doors, go to TES CE\ Object Window\Doors. You will spend a lot of time pushing the "Teleport" button to set up which doors hook to which other doors. Be sure to rotate the green rectangle with the pink pyramid in the direction the player will face when stepping out the door. Have fun!

RandomArt
I like the idea of quests, but I need to teach myself how to write them. This is basically my project for learning how to make Mods. And dogs and cats are a definite must. As far as updates go, I think there are plenty of buildings at this point, so I'm done with that. Currently, I'm adding rocks to the hill that the lighthouse is on to make it look better. Still to do:- Level ground- Make beaches- Texture ground properly- Add interior cells- Add NPC's- Add cave/dungeon- Add quests
