Gothic 3 problem.

I just got a second hand Gothic 3 and with the 1.6 patch it's really stable and playable, but I have a problem. I've found Xardas, he's given me the quest to get for the artifacts. I've heard that Vak, the orc leader of one of the cities has one of them. My problem is, I don't have the artifact and I've cleared all the cities of orcs, so Vak has probably run away. I have no idea if it is still possible to find him and get the artifact. What do I do now? Without the artifact I can't complete the game :/

Does anybody know of a way to fix this without restarting the game?

marvin mode and ask the ch helper to give you the artifact.

 

or just add it with the console.

Ah, thanks. I'm assuming Marvin mode is cheat mode? I'll look it up on the internet.

This is one of those rare cases where cheating won't bother me much, it's either one small cheat or lose my level 43 character, do all the quests again and take another month to get this far.

it's the weird way you get to use the console in Gothic.

 

you have to type marvin quickly.

 

the ch helper is like a npc you can spawn who will give you quest items or reputation etc.

 

you can get codes and add them yourself, either works.

 

"spawn ch" is the command, I think, to have him show up.
