Marines518
Okay so when the time came to confront Benny I decided to shoot him right then and there because I honestly didn't like him and also the fact he shot me in the face. But now every time I go back into the Tops they attack me so I thought I would head over to the Wikia and use the setreputation (base id) (variable) console command. On the Wikia it says the Chairman id is 00117508. I put in the console the following command: setreputation 00117508 1 1. This console command didnt work and have no idea why. That is the correct base id as stated on the Wikia but I cant seem to figure out why this doesnt work? Can anybody help me if I did something wrong or at least tell me how I can get the Chairman friendly with me again? When I put in the command this is what appears: SCRIPTS: Script 'SysWindowComplileAndRun', line 1: Invalid Reputation '00117508' for parameter Reputation. Compile script not saved! MarchUntoTorment
Chairmen aren't a separate faction, to my knowledge.

bben46
Just looked at the Wiki - the Chairmen are shown as a separate faction. and 00117508 checks. There is more than one command though From the Wiki addreputation <base_id> <variable> <amount> - adds player reputation with faction, the value will max out at its normal maximum value of 100. The variable will determine if the amount is added to the player's fame (1) or infamy (0) with the faction.removereputation <base_id> <variable> <amount> - removes player reputation with faction, the value will max out at its normal minimum value of 0. The variable will determine if the amount is subtracted from the player's fame (1) or infamy (0) with the faction.setreputation <base_id> <variable> <amount> - sets player reputation with faction, the value will max out at its normal minimum and maximum values of 0 and 100. The variable will determine if the amount is set for the player's fame (1) or infamy (0) with the faction. Examples: addreputation 000ffae8 1 8 - adds 8 fame to the Boomers faction. removereputation 000ffae8 0 8 - removes 8 infamy from the Boomers faction. setreputation 000ffae8 1 8 - sets player's fame with the Boomers faction to 8. Note: If a player wishes to obtain an idolized reputation with any faction, they must both increase fame value to 90 and reduce infamy value to below 4. What you did ( baseid 1 1 ) may have just added 1 to whatever fame value was already there - and after you shot Benny it was probably set very low. Try setting it to a much higher number - 00117508 1 75 - a 1 in the first location after the base id will cause it to add the number in the second location to the total fame ( in this case add 75 to whatever was already there) - a 0 in the first location causes it to subtract that number from wherever the fame value was - but does not affect infamy. :psyduck: It looks like the game tracks BOTH fame and infamy separately so you may have to reduce the infamy also. SpoonEnthusiast
I had the same problem. The reason you can't add reputation with them is because the aren't a main faction. But what you can do is try "player.addtofaction 00117508 1" and they will stop trying to kill you and let you do everything you could do in the casino before you killed Benny. They will still talk about how you killed him though. "Hey, you're the fink who killed Benny!" Edited November 25, 2016 by SpoonEnthusiast
