tardfarm8888
Ok, so I read all the instructions prior to trying to install the mod. I first installed Fomm and archive invalidation. Then he states to simply extract his files to another folder then copy and paste the folder textures and meshes into the data folder. Which simply does not work. How is that even supposed to work, since the folders in the date folder are not even folders, they are bsa files, and the names are not meshes, and textures, the names are fallout - meshes, and fallout - textures. So then I think maybe he means to extract to fallout\data\fallout - meshes\meshes, but you cant do that since, the file he gives you is not a bsa file, and fallout - meshes is a bsa file. The only way i can see to do it, is to totally extract the bsa file and then copy and past it in, and then create another bsa file. But it says nothing about doing that in the instructions for the mod, is there another way to do this, is there something I am missing? I have been *ban* with this all day long, I would really appreciate any help. thanks in advance!
TheChan
You need to press the 'enter' key more often. Here is what I would do: Download this. Extract the meshes and the textures from the BSA. Open the .zip or .rar file that has all the new stuff. Now, in a new window, you want to find the Bethesda Softworks->Fallout 3->Data folder. From there, find the places that the meshes and textures need to go, and simply drag the new ones from the zip/rar folder over to the folders, replacing the old files. This ensures that you will replace the old files, and not create a new directory within a directory, which happens sometimes when you try to extract files. For example:C\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\Meshes\Weapons\1handpistol\Meshes\Weapons\1handpistol Sometimes it will do that, instead of placing the files where they should go.
