HeLLL
Alright guys and gals welcome to the Night Stalker. All I ask is that ONLY these people post in this thread. NevexPeregrinethanaterosOddGuywesaynothinThe_ReaperRagnor StormcloudElucidatorI Am That Is Matthias_Thomas Also <don't want to sound anal> but can you please read this. Well here is the guts of things; I won't be "playing" this RP like I did in Golden Horn. I will be the DM or Dungeon Master. What that means is that I control EVERYTHING but YOU and YOUR actions. Example: DM says: The party is naked in a cornfield with other NPCs. One NPC called Rufus decides to run backwards throught the corn field. Rufus turns to Thomas and says "Hey Thomas try it. It feels soooo goood." Example: Thomas Replys: Thomas turns to Rufus and says "Not likely you stupid fool. What do I look like?!" Thomas turns away from the naked Rufus and waits to be taken out of this example. That is what will hopefully happen. Also remember that you can only do 1 signfigant action per post <don't double post please :) > Example: What NOT to do: HeLLL is running as fast as he can from the monster. He turns around and pulls out his axe and chops the monsters head off. He then preceeds to cutting its limbs off for food. He finishs doing that and carries away the meat. He starts to walk down the path once again. Example What TO do: HeLLL is running as fast as he can from the monster. He turns around and pulls out his axe and chops the monsters head off. He then preceeds to cutting its limbs off for food. The signifigant action was cutting the monsters head of. That is because it CHANGES the RP <doesn't have to be something big as that. It could be asking the party if they want to go left instead of right>. Stating that he was cutting its limbs of for food is NOT significant because it won't really change the RP. It doesn't matter now if the monster has no legs now because it is dead. A quick piece of advice. This RP will be more of a "logical" RP. What I mean by that is if it is night time and you are in the middle of a field you WON'T be able to see anything <except for the dim light of the moon, depending on its lunar cycles>. However if you brought a torch you could light it a see what is around you. Well I hope I havent scared you off. If you want to post something ooc <out of character> please do it at the END of your post. Give a few lines so that you can't tell that it is a part of your turn. Alright enough of me talking out of my rectum lets get going  DMEveryone is willing to talk about the monster, but their stories aren't very helpful. The first killing was two weeks ago; since then six herd animals have been taken. Most were medium-sized, but one of the missing animals was a fair-sized cow. Animals have been taken from lands on several sides of the village, more than 10 km apart within a couple of days. The weather for the last week has been dry, leaving few tracks; local trappers have been unable to find the lair of the creature. All of the herd animals that were taken are completely gone. In most cases blood spoor was found in their customary grazing areas, but not in sufficient quantities to track very far. The dogs that were killed were not taken, but simply left. One was eviscerated by what may have been claws, while the other was simply torn in half by something sharp. Both dogs were large and fierce, but there was no sign of blood other than their own on their jaws. The characters are in a town called Nohr. It bears an uncanny resemblence to Pelegaid except that there is no fort. The land is flat except for the few rolling hills that are scattered around. In the village of Nohr there is a few places of interest. Tyms McRay is the local shopkeeper who sells assorted items. Torches, lanterns, clothing <all common of course> and a few nick knacks. He also has a few weapons, although they are all Iron or Steel. Yogor is the Blacksmith for these parts. He can fix almost anything <for a price> and has a wide range of weapons and armor <highest being an Ebony Shortsword and a Dwemer Curiass>. He currently stocks Longbows, Longswords, Shortswords, Daggers, Chitchin Bows, Silver Staffs and a range of Spears. He has complete sets of Chitchin, Netch, Steel, Iron and Nordish Light Armor. He has a couple of singular items such as Imperial Currias, Nordish Medium Currias and various Imperial and Nordish medium armor pieces. Although it is rumored that in 2 days time he might be getting in a shipment of glass armor from Ald Ruhn. Tibeth Langley is the Lady of the White Horses tavern. Her tavern is open for drinking between 11.00am and 1.00pm. Tibeth offers rooms for 10 gold a night or 25 gold for four. She also offers hot meals of Nix Meat, Resin, Green Lichen, Mudcrab Meat and a loaf a bread for 5 gold. That also comes with a drink of the patrons choice. Tibeth is a well manored lady who is knowen to get very irrate if not showen respect. It is rumored that she cut a mans genitals off after he made a passing comment. Nohr has 3 houses contained within the village boundries. The 3 occupants are: Korag: A lonely Orc who resently lost his wife to the Creature. Although Orcs are rumered to go into a frenzy when someone close to them is killed; the lack of bloodlust over the years have stilled this Orcs pasion for revenge. Trekmakius Dirat: A very arragent Noble who seems to be enjoying the recent events. He has recently moved int Nohr and inquired into the purchasing of some of the local farms. He was refused at the time but know some of the farmers are thinking of selling to him. Although he purcahsed his current house by supposdly "haunting" it. Rumors are that he hired a conjourner to summon a ghost although he fanatically denies it. Rosemary Hoorm and Markus Hoorm: These two newly weds arrived from Balmora to settle down in Nohr. Rosemary is expecting kids anyday soon so she waits patiently at home. Markus works for Betolious Pictar. One of the local farmers. There are 2 farms surronding Nohr. The closet one is owned by Betolious Pictar. He is an Imperial farmer and has spent all of his 55 years on the very same farm. He is starting to feel the pressure of the attacks as more and more of his livestock is killed. He is also worried about his wife Gilnor. She is getting very ill and frail all of a sudden. Since his wifes illness he will not allow anybody on to his property and has hired two guards to keep check on the main gate. The other farmer Pontius Nirthat lives 10km from Nohr. Although he is missing some lifestock it is very minamal. He lives by himself and is quite hostile to people. Some say he is a werewolf as he seems to act very strange the day before a full moon. Its about 9.00am. The sun is warm an there is a crisp brezze which lowers the temputure abit. To make this RP not so power crazy <as in armor and weapon/spell wise> there are these restrictions <sorry guys but it would kill the RP otherwise> NO armor above "dwemer" stats for heavyNO armor above "chitchin" stats for lightNO armor above "imperial" stats for mediumNO weapons above "ebony" stats for weapons of ALL kinds.NO uber spells that kill everything or heal every disease. Why I say this for is other wise it will be a bit too easy to complete. The monsters aren't like Golden Horn :P Each player starts with 100 drakes. You can earn more <each or as a party depending on what the NPC decides, by doing sub quest. Let it begin.

Nevex
Nevex having traveled long and far reaches a small village by the name of Nohr early in the day, almost at noon, searching for a room in which to rest. He walks by a man who is apparantly a farmer, judging by his wares, trying to sell some produce while grumbling about a savage beast slautering his herd animals.""Hmm this place seems quite suitable to my needs. Also this....beast....may end up getting me some extra gold or something better perhaps."Nevex continues down the street and sights a building with a sign reading "White Horses Tavern". He walks up opening the door then walks inside. He greets the Lady he sees within as politely as possible, though, he notices that there seems a bit of dislike in her eyes."I'll take a room for the day m'lady, if you have one to spare, then I have the gold to spare as well." He slides 10 gold from a pouch tied to his belt on the right side.He nods to the Lady as she hands him a key with the room number on it. He then heads up to his room entering inside and locking the door while taking off several items and placing them on the bedside. (OOC) Hope that wasn't too much action, but judging by what the DM said I should still be able to continue with my post at the moment because I still havn't really done anything to alter the plot  , sounds like this will be a nice RP, we wont have to worry about the constant daedric this, daedric that, ah and my characters background will have to be asked for and such for him to tell to be a bit more...realistic. Also some minor questions, what time of year is it? Is there a certain limit to alchemical divices or components? If so what quality and how many? Would you consider Wolf armor better(I know that it is worth more than chitin and I am pretty sure it has a higher armor rating)? What is the limit for magical enchatments(Seeing as my character is a spellsword certain magical enchantments for stealth are to be expected along with spells)? Also I'm not sure if I bypassed you on the getting of the room, usually the DM controlls the NPC's and that means the DM also controlls their trade actions. So if I did something wrong let me know, I'm prone to make a mistake somewhere ;) .
OddGuy
Oquilerdalin comes running into town breathlessly after a run-in with one too many Nix Hounds. He thinks to himself, "Wow, I really need a backup weapon for when my magicka runs out!" So as he walks into the blacksmith's shop, he begins looking for shortswords. Although he gawks at the price, he ends up buying a Silver shortsword for 80 gold. He then heads to the Inn for a rest. He hands the lady ten gold, and takes the key she hands him. He looks at his cash reserves and frowns. "Oh well, I'll do a spare job or two for some extra drakes." He goes to his room, looks at the bed for a moment, and immediatedly falls sound asleep on the floor.
thanateros
Damian steps out from the White Horse and scans the scene. Only have just arrived he only knows few details but given his training likely, he thinks, a conjurer is behind all of this. Reverently approaching the homestead of Korag he lightly taps the door with a single knuckle and waits patiently outside to be tended to Character description: Damian Maranus is in his mid 30's and is a Breton. He has blue eyes and looks as though he hasn't shaved in several days. Covering his body is a rather ragged looking robe, something you would expect to find on a priest in a poor village (Hla Oad for example). However, there's something about you just can't shake, despite its simplicity it looks marvelous wrapped around the Breton. Beneath the robe he (as he often removes it for rest) brandishes a nordic ringmail cuirass. tied to his shoulders are two netch leather pauldron. his greaves and boots are netch leather as well. at his side is a marvelously elegant sheath containing an ebony longsword. strapped on his back is a netch tower shield. Standing in front of the house he nods and humbly smiles at passerbys. seeing Oquilerdalin running through the streets reminds him of the days when he would venture out into the wilderness while training his spells. Reminiscing on his childhood he forgets that the door has been answered and Korag is towering over him. despite his intimidating appearace Damian recognizes the pain in his eyes. "Might I have a word with you good sir? Allow me introduce myself, I am Damian Maranus and I have come on behalf of the Temple. This might be hard for you but in order to prevent further deaths by this creature I must speak with you concerning the death of your wife and its circumstances." HeLLL
DM Korag gets out of his chair and walks towards the door and opens it. Korag is dressed in blue commons hirt with brown common pants. "What do you want. I don't need any vistors. LEAVE AN ORC TO MOURN!" and with that slams the door in thanateros face.

DM OOC Yeah you guys did kind of bypass the DM controlling Tibeth but hey learn and remember next that you only control YOUR character and the actions YOUR chracter is responsible for. But hey sweet as. As for wolf armor? Yes. Only normal wolf armor <no Snow Wolf/Bear> Only Apprientichip Mortar and Pestle are allowed. The local widelife is the exact same as if you where to find it in the West Gash area <Gnnar Mok for example> An as for enchantments? Only enchanments that can be made with a soulgem containing a lessor beasts soul <Kaguti highest> and the enchanments themselves I let you decide <nothing to uber powerfull> Ill pull you up if something is a bit to powerfull ;) :D

thanateros
he looks over to Shadow and smile, "no it's just the way they are, pay it no mind, i'm sure i'll get another opportunity in the future, the best thing now is to find out how we can gather some assemblance of information. forgive me, where are my manners," Damian extends his hand in a gesture of good tidings, "my name is Damian, i'm new to these parts, just arrived last night, i was going to be heading south from here but it seems my skills might be made better use of helping these poor people." looking discouraged he curses all orcs in a tongue not spoken on Vvardenfell, drawing an odd look from a farmer whose passing by with crops harvested on the back of his guar. guessing he's not going to get anywhere with Korag he sulks over to the White Horse Tavern and orders up a lunch of crabmeat, bread, and sujamma (has 95 gold left). taking the steaming plate of fresh smelling crab he pauses to let the fragrent aroma of seafood assails his nostrils and flares his appetite. forgetting about the Orc he sits down at a window booth and calmly starts to eat his meal. first taking a sip of sujamma then breaking off a piece of bread and spreading some of the crabmeat on it. he looks around the tavern to see if there are any people here he might have seen since he first arrived last night. suspecting that the frequents here are his best bet for information he takes a mental note of the scene.
