Nakaeriel
Hello everyone. I recently tried - yup, TRIED - to install a coupla mods.I successfully installed Rens Beauty Pack (full version with Elven race), KT Custom Race Fix (that one was easy : put in a single .esp) and Capes and Cloaks ( http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4539 ). I also installed Exnem's body replacer. But I've got some trouble with those mods : Black Luster Weapons and Armor for Exnem's body : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10544 Black Luster 2SwordStyle : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12994 (Which is used with the one I named before, I guess) SnowFlower : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18712 (Stylish !) And, finally, Umpa's Sexy Walk : http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15829 I use Oblivion Mod Manager. I scanned for conflicts, and there was nothing... I installed all these mods manually, and I'm quite sure I didn't place the files in the right places. If someone has the slightest idea about where to place them, I would be most grateful. (Sorry for the somehow lacking english.)
Ringwall
The easiest way to tell where to extract a mod is where the .esp's are in the archive. For instance, you download an archive that has a folder in it... FoobarMod.7z.-Foodbarmod (folder)..+mesh (folder).. FoobarMod.esp.. FoobarMod.esm.. FoobarReadme.txt For this archive structure, you would not extract the Foobarmod Folder into your Oblivion Data folder, but you would select of it's contents (ie mesh, FoobarMod.esp, FoobarMod.esm) and extract these into your data folder. Also, for many mods you will need OBSE to make them run properly. If the file you have download is an .omod, you should to put this file in your obmm/mods/ folder. From my experience you can have .omods anywhere on your hard-drive, and they will register in OBMM by double clicking on the .omod file. But to keep things simple and neat you should probably just keep them in the obmm/mods/ folder. To put it short and simple, wherever the .esps (or esms) are located inside the archive is where you will select the files and extract them to your data folder. gpstr1
The Blackluster armor set is the only one of those I'm familiar with, but it's a mildly confusing installation, just because it comes with an optional esp in a folder named "HideAmulet.esp" The other folder though is named 'Data" and that's the one to deal with as Ringwall says-- open it up and move everything in it into your own Data folder. Don't even bother with the other esp unless you want an equipped amulet to not be visible with that armor, in which case use the esp in the "HideAmulet.esp" folder INSTEAD OF the original one. They have the same name, so it should be impossible to have them both installed, but still.....
