Hledjolf
I'm a bit of a crafter / packrat type, unwilling to part with any goods that I plan to sell / craft / recycle / enchant eventually. The problem is, over time, these accumulate in several different houses -- to the point that getting them all sorted into the houses I want to use them in becomes an absolute chore, humping things across the landscape one inventory load at a time. Now, if I were willing to say "to heck with immersion" I could easily enough make a 'magical' container in each of my player houses that pointed to the same inventory space -- but it seems a shame to do that in a fantastically immersive game like Skyrim. What I want, instead, is a way to dump a stack of goods into a container in one of my houses, walk over to a nearby housecarl, steward, or carriage driver, and ask them to 'ship' those goods to a container in one of my other houses. (For a fee, even, to add realism.) I've been trying to do this mod for myself, and I'm willing to put in a bit of work once I know how to get the code to compile, but I'm stuck trying to get the RemoveAllItems script function to work. It looks like it should be able to take all the items from one container and put them in another container, which is exactly what I want, but I don't know the scripting language well enough to pass the right variables / references / ID's in. Frustrating. There are even RP / quest opportunities here -- destinations could be limited by bandit activity (uncleared lairs near the road), soldiers / brigands from various army encampments could seize your shipments, contraband (stolen items) could be seized / confiscated / and a bounty imposed... But starting simple would be best. Could anyone help? Bonus points if the destination container is a Merchant Stand Inventory from Adura's Merchant Mod.
