Cosmetic Mods causing game crashes when loading areas...

I have several cosmetic mods, such as new eye and hair sets, and environmental ones as well, like the ImpeREAL Empire mods and Natural Environments, but every time I try to load a game with one of the modified cells or areas, the game will crash. Removing them from the load order and the game doesn't crash, but I really like the way these mods look. Any help?

I have over 500 mods running in all, mostly weapons and armor, and most of them are all merged into one file depending on how many I can fit into a single description box.

You have so many mods I doubt anyone can diagnose your problem even if you post your mod list and load order. If you are in love with these mods that cause crashing, you need to steel yourself for lots of play-testing in the weeks ahead.

The pattern goes somewhat like this: Disable half your mods, not removing the trouble-making cosmetic mods you mentioned. Playtest to see if crashes are gone.

No crashes: Enable half the disabled mods. Play-test. Follow instructions for No crashes/ Crashes. Repeat until conflict isolated to 1 mod. Delete all copies of that mod from your hard drive and storage media.

Crashes: Remove half of your remaining mods. Play=test. Follow instructions for No crashes/ Crashes.

Merging 500 mods is a recipe for disaster. Just because you can doesn't mean you should and some mods just don't like to be merged. If any edit the same cells etc you have problems right there.

The only way to find your problem is by following David Brasher's advice.

The merged mods consist of mostly weapons and armors. The others are places, NPCs, quests, and houses. Another one is Modular Oblivion Enhanced, then there are some small tweaking mods, all of which don't conflict. I made sure to run the game with the mods I wanted to merge before the actual merging. I also removed most if not sometimes all of the cells and areas that were modified that had the items out in the open, and just put them all in a chest in the testing hall. I even went as far as to renumber the FormIDs so they wouldn't overwrite one another.
