atlanticmongrel
Hi guys, I'm wondering if someone can help me with a weapon modding issue I'm having. I've made a new weapon reference in the editor and as long as I don't change the weapon's NIF everything works as it should, but when I change the NIF to one I've edited in Blender the bullet ceases to fire from the gun barrel and instead comes from the player's chest. As well as this visual issue, the weapon's firing sound no longer works after changing to the new NIF. The sound of bullet impact still occurs, however. Can anyone help? :thanks:
TheChan
You pasted the new model over an existing weapon, right? The reason why it's coming out of your chest with no sound is probably because of no projectile node.

atlanticmongrel
Aha! Thank you! How do I keep it's projectile node intact when exporting from Blender? I actually don't even see anything that could be the node after importing the NIF. Just the collision mesh, the main rifle mesh, the trigger, scope lens and slide lever. I don't think it's importing the projectile node... EDIT: Sorted. I can't believe it was as simple as making a cone called ProjectileNode and putting it at the dangerous end of the gun! Haha! Thanks again mate, I never would have found that without knowing what the hell I was looking for!
