I was thinking maybe FOOK had something to do with it, considering the weapons might not have actual visual impacts, but that doesn't change the fact that normal weapons don't cause blood to show, like I said I'm not sure, some help would be great. DreamCatcher4815162342 Posted August 29, 2009 Author Share Posted August 29, 2009 Thanks, ill try fixing up my load order, but do you also know anything about the CALIBR mod/addon for FOOK2, cause there's no way to get that unique kind of ammunition that FOOK2 contains, i tried installing CRAFT and the FOOK file which said it consists of new schematics for its ammunition, but when i went to Moira in Craterside Supply, there were no schematics of any kind, but thing is, after installing the FOOK file for CRAFT, my game kept crashing, so i had to resort to deleting it, from the pictures i saw on the nexus downloads page i get the dialogue option you get once activating the workbench, all i get is 3 options: Scrapper (Dont know what that is), CRAFT, and Activate, once i click CRAFT, the dialogue does show up, but i cant choose any schematics, (Cause i don't have any or cant get any). And yeah I'm still not sure whats up with the no blood thing, it only happens after a while, maybe from entering a building and being idle for some time, i just open and close Fallout to get the blood back, kind of time consuming but...it works. And uh...do you know why I can't get Jessi to go outside of Rivet City I always CTD when i try and leave. In fact, I can't leave Rivet City at all... mechine Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 Well first I'd look into if you can use more than one player made companion. Used to be that they would say just use one, idk though A corupted save game will do all kinds of weird stuff. We avoid it by never quick saveing or auto saving However, this month, I made a clean install, started it all upwhich it didn't really like the start up, scripts all running at the same timeone after the other, it was pretty bad, later on that game went corupt. Started a new game, pretty much the same set up, but the only thing I did different was that I started the game without any mods running, just fallout3.esm. Got out the vault, and then ran over to megaton, an went inside the bathroom (it's small) Saved it, exit, then loaded up all the mods at once, (even though I wanted to do them in groups) Bam start the game load the save, then the scripts all stacked again, just like before but it seemed to work better (you know setting up hotkeys an whatnot) it went smooth except for one (which was a lot better) So it stands to reason the conditions in which you start will determine somewhat how stable the build is but it also follows the "sometimes you just get a bad load up of fallout from the system needing to be rebooted" I'm just trying to say that from one start up to another some of them are going to be not so good but I was able to tell the difference almost obviously. Also there are times where scripts or save games that went bad are still trying to run hidden deep inside the computer systems process, which will also lead to coruption an bad performance (weird stuff) Which a guess would be reboot the system to clear that out, (every so often you're going to run into the windows end task warning) Which is a clear indication something has gone corupt an is running in the background (which would effect fallout runnning) Some of this happends when you crash an reload right back into fallout (so it stands to reason we should reboot when it happens) Look into FO3edit master update, an something that's newer than that is the merge patch process (which is even better) Clean install, clean mod installs (not auto installs), FOMM, FOSE, GAME patched, FO3edit, GECK, and also the tweek guide. It's a poop ton of work to get a nice version, don't worry just keep working on it. I mean if it's driving you insane, which it does me a lot, just load an play vanilla fallout for a while. The point is to get some game time every so often or you'll snap an go mad when you start making mods it's even worse, you got weeks without playing anything... On a side note, This last time, I did the same charicter creation as before, nothing changed at all. And the result the second time, for some reason the players hands were very dark, almost asian. Which I had no downloaded an installed textures in the data file for the player which means that the system was looking inside the .BSA archives for the stuff I ended up fixing it from extracting those hand textures. This leads me to think that maybe for some reason your gore got messed up or archive invaildation is messing with it. While either the install of a gore mod, or the unpacking of the files needed for gore from the .BSA It's a long shot... And I mean there's nothing to suggest that what you did or have messed up gore. I don't even know how to find those files. I do know there are a few mods out there that deal with gore an make it a lot better some even have options, but I mean you kind of need to focus on fixing the gore you have. Get that working an then use the mods for enhanced gore. hmmm, see if it happeneds with a new game without any mods running. then test with half the mods, then all the mods, but it could not be related to either a random coruption or even some weird archive invalidation problem like the problem I had with hands once I unpacked it, it changed the data modified on the hands, from the ones in the .BSA which pointed fallout 3 to use them. I think something else you might try is I've heard of people deleteing their fallout3.ini notepad options file while I would rather say get a known good fallout3.ini an replace the one you have, I have heard that it will create another default one if there isn't one sounds risky, but you could look into threads that deal with replacing that fallout3.ini file or even all of those files in mydocuments/games/fallout3 I've never had to do it, but I can paste in my .ini file text for you maybe it will help FALLOUT configuration settings
