I have the same issue that he is describing. With the 48.2 NMM my mods activated just fine and showed up in the plug ins. But now that I am home and using my tower pc I updated my NMM and posted the same mods but they aren't showing up in my plug ins. Nor are they showing in data files at the start of the game. If I play on my laptop that is still 48.2 everything is fine. So explain how this isn't part of the latest update?

sent send a bug report then ... first time I'm hearing about tihis

I'm not sure if I read that right, but it sounds like you are downloading on one computer, then expecting the mods to be on a different computer when you look.

If you are using a different computer, you will have to download and install the NMM and all mods on that computer. Using NMM, there is no way to automatically have mods you download on one computer show up on a different one.

hello bben I think he meant that he has nmm ver .48 on his laptop and it functions normal (able to install the mod downloads & have them appear in the plugins section) whereas his desktop has ver .49 of nmm and when he downloads a mod and tries to install, it did not show up in the plugins section --> I have not tried to replicate this problem yet since I use nmm .48 & I usually do my installations old school so I can neither deny nor confirm that the glitch is present

Hey guys me again. Watched the video and found out something about a New Vegas script extender. Do I need this? Also I remember that when I first clicked Fallout: New Vegas it said the file was a read only. Does this make a difference? Thanks a lot!

Many of the more popular mods require NVSE, so it is recommended that you install it (get it from here).

If you got a message about an INI file being read-only, then you should allow NMM to cancel the read-only.

If you read the instructions it tells you that NVSE MUST be installed to the same folder that FalloutNV.exe is located - the most common problem is people think it is a mod - it's not. and instead of putting it in the same folder as FalloutNV.exe, they put it in the data folder (Wrong) with the mods.

Then, if you have a modified Fallout.exe it will not recognize it. NVSE was written to use the legal Steam version only.

Hi. I have a problem that is similar to sackboywho11. I have downloaded and activated (or install. However you want to put it) the mods through the nexus mod manager. But even so, when I start the game, there is no change. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
