astacaroth
So, i was thinking if someone could do a mod that when you enchant a weapons, for example, enchant a sword with fire damage, it would look like this: http://assets.vg247.com/current//2013/09/dragon_age_inquisition_02.jpg Just don't make it too fancy, make it look realistic. I know some mods that change the visual effects of enchanted weapons, but... meh, I think the effects are too idk, like cartoons for kids, can't find another way to explain it xDI know this fire enchantment it's too showy, but i think that's the way it should be, just like this picture shows it, and so it should be with frost enchantments. I don't look for a weapon made of ice, but something more like one that has been taken from the freezer. And when it comes to shock effects, well... not looking for big thunders, that would just make it too messy, something like the vanilla shock spell looks, incorporated in the weapon.i'm currently using a mod called "Ultimate HD Fire Effects" URL: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28642/?if is there any way to use the vanilla fire effect in the fire enchantment it would be great, so that this mod could replace the texture and then really make it look great! And enchantments like health absorb should be discreet, not too showy and big effects and stuff like that, perhaps something more like the vanilla effect, just a little bit enhanced. It would be cool if the effects on armor could be changed a bit as well. Edited March 8, 2014 by astacaroth
Urwy
There's been several mods that have attempted this. (here's one of them) All have run into the issue that the effect can't dynamically adjust it's shape to the weapon it is applied to, So every enchantment will need a effect mesh for all weapon shapes. And even then it will not be compatible with modded weapons. The best thing i can come up with is having the enchantment add a small flaming/snowy/lightning orb near the crossguard. (similar to this, only slightly larger.) That might make it more compatible with mods, but it's still no guarantee that it'll look good on every weapon. Urwy
Just don't make it too fancy, make it look realistic. Yeah, realistic..... As realistic as a fantasy RPG can get, that is. =) Anyway, some proof of concepts: http://i.imgur.com/g0w1XSZ.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/pA7b54e.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/CJLZFO7.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/PaatEQd.jpg As you can see above, it's quite tricky to spot it in still images. Its an orb of fire that originates from the players palm, as this is the only place that stays relatively the same across any and all weapons. (even modded ones.) Sure, it looks less styles than a flaming blade, but like i said; its absolutely universal. (just like the vanilla enchant effect) It should also be compatible with mods that increase the detail on the flame textures and such...
