Hiding a weapon's animation while holstered.

I have been experimenting with the machete script in the CRI squad mod by Alexscorpion. In his mod you can have a machete on your back in a sheath even while it is not equipped. This is due to a pretty nifty script that is in the mod.

 

I have copied this script and have been using it with sword sheaths from the wanderer's and mufflers mod. Now I can have a sword on my back all the time and be able to make it look like I have an empty sheath while wielding a sword. I feel I have been quite successful at getting this to work, with the exception of one thing.

 

If I have a sword equipped but holstered it still appears at my side. This gives the appearance of having two swords equipped. One on my back (from the sheath) and one at my side.

 

In the CRI mod, the machete is invisible while holstered, giving the appearance of the machete going into a sheath on your back, whereas the sheathed machete is actually an armor item and not a weapon at all.

 

Apparently there is some data somewhere in the machete weapon mesh that tells it to not show up while holstered. I have tried to find this data in nifskope but have not been successful.

 

 

 

MY QUESTION IS THIS: How can I edit a sword mesh so that it disappears while it is holstered?
