Wrathcaster
As implied from the title, I've just acquired Knights of the Nine from Direct2Drive. I want to install it soon, but whenever I try it tells me I need an older patch and that Oblivion will not work until I install it. I've got the latest patch for oblivion, as well as Unofficial Oblivion Patch, Script Extender, Mod manager, Andragons weapons and armor, Stutter remover, Nifscript, and pluggy installed right now. Also, I'm using the retail dvd version of oblivion. My question is: How should I proceed with the install? Will this really screw up my game? I've put about ~2 days into my character and would really rather not have to start over again, but I also paid for the DLC and I'd like to use it. If it's not too much of an issue to install it with the mods i've currently have installed, is there a specific way I should proceed in installing the DLC? Thanks in advance. Wrathcaster
Any help guys? Please? Pretty please? :) Or can I just be told whether I can install Knights of the Nine with the latest patch, despite installer warnings, with no problems? bben46
D2D uses a different protection scheme than the CD version of the game. Any mods that depend on OBSE will not work because of this. If your original game came from D2D then you need to get all of your patches from there also. And, I would expect the D2D version of KOTN to only work on the D2D version of Oblivion also.
