Can anyone recommend a good rifle mod?

If you fancy a trip to Flak 'n' Shrapnel's, you can try out a de-scoped, fully automatic sniper rifle. It fires 4 rounds per second of high velocity .308 rounds. (There's a single shot version right next to the full auto one).

It's not very practical since I haven't extended the clip, I just made the full auto version for a laugh, but you can easily make mincemeat of RC Marketplace with 20 rounds in your pocket :D

 

Remember...short controlled bursts...as if you have a choice.

 

I'll extend the clip and shorten the barrel for you if you like, just let me know.

Skree, I've got a question - where do I get those guns from ingame? I've looked everywhere - should I just try the GECK and get the item codes? :P

 

 

they are in some footlockers in Springvale elementary, floor 1. Better hurry though before the raiders get to em first!

Skree one thing that bugs me about your weapons is the damage..... and i'm way too lazy to use fook.....

They do look good, though i do remember there being more guns then that in 2142....

not finished yet my man. Take a look at the 2142 thread. it will give you status of whats going on with it. Only 11 of bf2142s weapons have been introduced so far in the mod, 12th is in but unreleased... 13 is close at hand.

 

the damage is astronomical because the weapons are in premium condition, and you wont see them everywhere in the wasteland. You wont even get your hands on one until you earn the rights to use it, (once the mod is farther along and the npcs and quests are working). Theres a reason they are so strong, its because they arent going to be easy to get :)

 

The reason why you can get them now is because they are being released for testing only.

No its not overpowered....

why is a submachine gun 1.5 times stronger then a light machine gun? Common balance them properly!

Both guns are...a bit over the top but that's what you're looking for init? I personally nerfed mine a bit and I <3 'em. :)
