trknman
Gentle Folks...I am not sure of the proper way of doing this. I have made a companion mod based on the Ice Elf Race plugin by Ozmo. I got the .esm with the Ambreska download. I have asked for permission to use it, but gotten no reply. Would it be proper to include the IceElfRace.esm in my upload? Granting, of course, the proper credit for the base structure of the mod. Thanx in advance for any help on this matter.
David Brasher
Check and see what the readme file says. It may say something like "anyone can use this if they mention me in the credits" or "none shall use this without risking death by my hand!" I have seen some readme files that say something like, "If you want to use this, attempt to contact me to ask my permission, but if I don't respond within two weeks, do what you like." I would say you are doing right and following proper procedures. If the mod author won't respond to you, go ahead and upload your mod with proper credit given to him for his work. Many mod authors would be flattered that their work is being included in another mod and spread further.
