LE DDS Randomizer - like Automatic Variants, but for textures

When I first heard about automatic variants I was excited, but it seems like it's actually pretty limited.

 

You can get 5 different randomly-picked textures for your mudcrabs.

 

Why not 5 different night skies?

Or 5 different treasure chests?

 

If this is too difficult to make, what about a simple app that automatically cycles through

a collection of identical .dds files (or whatever filetype), for example "skyrimgalaxy.dds"?

This can happen before the game even runs.

 

Ideally it'd pick a different galaxy every time night falls or I step outdoors from inside.

But I'd settle for a different one every time I launch the game.

(without having to manually install and shuffle load orders to make it happen).
