ChrisL33T
I have my .nif file in the ...\Data\Meshes\XXX.nif ... and it worked fine in TES Construction Set BUT! When I put my .DDS file in my ...\Data\Texture\XXX.DDS IT DOESN'T WORK! I get the "Invalid Directory" when I try to make a weapon with my texture. I'm sure you've heard this a MILLION times but, Google couldn't fix my problem. Please Help.
malonn
The only thing I can think of is that you stated it was in ...\Data\Texture\XXX.DDS Well the directory is supposed to be "Textures". You left out the "s".
ChrisL33T
Oh yeah, that was a typo. "Textures" and "Texture" dont work. at all.

mimada
Your initial post is a little too vague. Did you create the mesh? Are you retexturing an existing mesh? Did you create the texture?
ChrisL33T
Ok, this is what i did. I took silverlongsword.nif (extracted from the game's bsa) and put it into Oblivion\Data\Meshes\... THEN! I have silverlongsword.dds AND silverlongsword_n.dds and put it into Oblivion\Data\Textures\... I go into TES Construction and make a new weapon... The mesh works fine... BUT! When I upload the icon texture it says "Invalid Directory"!!!!! I DONT GET IT!!!
mimada
So the problem occurs when you try to set the icon texture? Did you extract the icon texture from the bsa?
ChrisL33T
Yes. I did. And also a side note, when i download mods, their textures dont load either, so its not just me.
