KungKnut
My current character (my 4th in all) is level 40 and I'm having a lot of fun playing him. I'm exploring the more high-end content and I'm getting certain skills maxed out for the first time. He's my favorite character so far - but... But I'd love to use certain mods to enhance the experience further. So far, I'm running +- 70 mods from the Steam Workshop (most of them are armor mods). Recently, I've been having QTDs so I've decided to start using SKSE and a mod manager (NMM or BOSS). I'm pretty sure the errors are the result of a bad loading order since my PC is more than powerful enough to run Skyrim at max. Since I'll be using SKSE now, I thought I'd download some more mods to enhance the immersion. I was thinking about: - the dance of death (killmove mod)- ultimate combat- wet and cold (if compatible with wet and cold)- frostfall- realistic needs and diseases Now I was wondering if I can use these mods without having to start a new game. I know that works for the workshop mods but I don't know if it works for the SKSE mods. In short: Can I install mods like Frostfall, realistic needs and the dance of death and use them without having to start a new game? (Ps: sorry if this isn't the right subforum. I'm a bit of a new arrival here and I'm still getting my bearings.)
TheGreenLion
*Most* mods are okay to load in a current playthrough as long as you haven't had them in there before. But, make backups of your saves and test things first to see if there are problems and if you like it. Removing mods in a current playthrough is generally a bad idea, more specifically mods with scripted events/behaviors because the scripts get 'baked' in and will produce errors when the game can't find the scripts anymore. Many authors will state whether or not it needs to have a fresh game to work (such as Civil War Overhaul) so be sure to read those description pages!
