No Mayers for Primm

Isn't "Me an the boys'll take good care of Primm" striking a chill for anyone else?

 

What boys Mayers? You never mentioned any 'boys' before. I got YOU in to do this job not some posse of crims. You need backup, then send dopey there over the road and get Heyes to patch a message through to my NCR radio an I'll fast travel right back here...

 

Walks off muttering 'me an the boys... Jeezus!'

First off, would it kill ya to spell Meyers' and Hayes' names correctly?

 

Second, the original plan was for Meyers to be joined by a handful of ex-convicts. That was cut prior to release for some reason, but the dialogue was never edited. IIRC one of the New Vegas Uncut mods adds those deputies back in, along with a little bit more dialogue explaining their presence.

 

Third, just because someone spent time in the NCRCF doesn't mean they're a bad person. f***, even today IRL there are literally hundreds of thousands of innocent people behind bars because the legal system is completely and utterly broken. I can't even imagine the NCR's idea of "due process", and frankly I'm amazed that they only have the one prison in the Mojave given how f***ing draconian their "laws" are.

 

 

First I suffer from Dyslexia so if the spell check doesn't catch it your s**t out of luck mate.

 

Second, well pardon me for not knowing what doesn't appear in the game or for not having this, that or the other mod.

 

And third I never implied he was a bad person or unfit for the job or that the American judicial system was fit for purpose in this world or Fallout's. But Major Knight asks "why would we want one of the powder gangers - in an official capacity" I'm thinking well he's not one of the powder gangers, he's sat waiting for you lot to come and sort the situation out. And I'm thinking that right up until [Ctrl-v] Meyers comes out with "me an the boys!"

[Edit] Forgive my brusque response I'm a bit touchy about the spelling thing. As disabilities go, we dyslexics got off pretty lightly all considered.

Can someone create a mod that after I get sheriff for Primm the town actually

will be patrolled by soldiers??I mean I got the sheriff and walk away and after two seconds hear gunfire.

Apparently some random convict(where did he came from??)killed Biegl guy!!This is rediciulos!!

I literally just posted a link to a mod that does -exactly- that, dude. Granted it only works if you go with Meyers or the NCR.

 

Besides - you really should sweep the town anyway. There are always a pair of convicts roaming around the 'coaster, which is part of why the first thing I do is go fix up ED-E.

About half the time I don't bother clearing the upstairs convicts out of Bison Steve's. Nothing ever seems to come of it (perhaps they have a couple of packs of cards to keep themselves occupied) but for useful mod ideas how about a nail-gun that can nail doors shut! That'd be handy, You can sit up there and rot!

No worries mate, sorry I snapped back but before PCs and spell checks, years of people... Just laughing! at anything I'd written down.. :blush: No matter, but the Nail-gun would be handy if it could overwrite 'door-open' function, at least until the player leaves the cell or space. Potentially game breaking I should think, unless the author went through every instance in the game?... Perhaps one of the script wizards here could tell us what would be involved. Thinking it can't be that simple or someone would have done it.
