Conflicts/Loadorder with all 5 DLC's Patch 1.4(will upgrade to 1.7

Ok, so just picked back up FO3 and made it just past getting to use Power Armor playing it vanilla style, this time thought I'd try some mods since I haven't played since it first released. So I download 20-30ish mods, read up on what I'm supposed to do(put files where readme.txt's said to) get some CTD's before reaching main menu, go through my FOMM and disable mods 1 by one, uninstall, patch to 1.4 (was previously 1.7) find the addon causing the crash and start playing. Boom, crash during birth. Yay, found quad core crash fix, solves problem.

 

Then I make it to adulthood, and get my pistol, shoot a guard and BOOM, huge red ! triangle, I'm like ok that's wierd. BOOM guy shooting me with same pistol gets red ! triangle. Sigh. Get into Megaton and the black dude that greets you when you go inside, BOOM giant ! triangle, traders outside, giant red ! triangle.

 

Sigh, 2 days of research/install/uninstall/reinstall=fail

 

Download FO3 Edit, found a load order problem, fixed that. Downloaded the huge 140+ page manual. Apply a Filter for conflicts as per manual instructions and THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!! So I go ok, I read, figure I'll try a merged patch. Do that, start playing, same errors.

So yeah there it is with some reaons why I disabled stuff. All mods were downloaded tues/wed so they are up to date. Any suggestions/hey knucklehead look over here responses would be great. Point me in the right direction where I can read up some more and I'll be happy. Course I'll have more questions afterwards as well.

 

Thanks much for any help and also if someone wants to recommend some mods to improve overall gameplay experience that'd be great. No thanks to any gatling gun mini nuke MIRV guns or anything of a rediculous nature.

what made you downgrade to 1.4?

 

1.6 or 1.7 is what you need.

 

put it back where it was and install FO3Edit, then create a merged patch.

 

I'd read somewhere in a forum post that anything above 1.4 cause problems with mods so I went ahead and reinstalled and repatched. Obviously the wrong thing to do.

Ok, so I loaded up the game and using FO3 Edit I am looking up each of the errors that I saw via the FormID. When I type these in and find them, there are no conflicts with that formID so why am I getting a giant red ! triangle? All of the FormID's I've looked up have had all green backgrounds with red/grey type and white backgrounds with grey/black type. Also they are all only showing the fallout3.esm in the view area.

 

This one 0001d55a shows up with the fallout3.esm and the Broken steel.esm and it shows something about Megaton Housing, when i shoot a gun....

 

And all these persist even after I patched and created a new merged patch. I also went into my Fallout.ini file and changed bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 to =1 and toggled FOMM to apply Archive Invalidation.
