wghost81
Larsenexz, to check if ini changes work, you may replace starting perks with some other perks and go for easy first mission.
Larsenexz
Ooo, I will try that tonight. Thanks! Suppose I want to give my support Sprinter first and smoke later will this hurt the game or just change things abit? wghost81
You can change the tree, see if it works and change it back to what you want. Balance is a whole different topic. I can post my own perk trees here if you want.
Larsenexz
Ok I wanted to post that all your advice was most helpful. I am successful. I just made some minor changes. I really think all classes should have 'access' to HEAT if wanted and I moved flipped smoke grenade with field medic. That class (for me) is a med class and I RARELY use smoke so it made more sense for the class to have access to field medic up front rather than 3 promotions later. THANKS again! I am really enjoying the chance to mod my game. I did the change to the gamecore INI to put arc in pistol slot. Do I need to enable default loadouts for that to manifest in game? Be aware that one of the symptoms that you are still "phoning home" is that putting the arc thrower in the pistol slot fails to "stick". Phoning home is known to revert that while leaving other changes intact. The game attempts to phone home every time it starts. Discussed 'here' and in the 'Steam and mods' article. EW added a second pair of addresses, so you need to add four lines to the hosts file if you have it installed. -Dubious-
