MarkUntoTormant said that he was gonna do something, I was kinda hoping to see something of it by now, or at least hear something new from MarkUntoTormant

I guess we should do a progress report type thing, since mutiple people are asking to do parts of this, so people can know what has been, and what has not, and what we are currently doing, what what we want to do but cant without some help

"We can use an altered Brotherhood T-51b mesh for the second robot, much as we did with the Enclave Shocktrooper Armor. The coding will be basically identical between them, at any rate; it's just a model swap.

For now, I propose breaking up the workload between us. We can't let poor Devin do all the work, now can we?"

Was the last thing, I heard from him, I message him giving him the go, but he "poofed"

Unfortunately, life's caught up to me - I'm presently being drowned in homework from all sides. Given that I've got a round of exams coming up, I won't be free for a while.

However, in a couple of weeks' time, I'll have two weeks with absolutely nothing to do. Therefore, I'd be more than happy to help out then. This looks like a good project to learn to use the GECK with.

Hmmm well I'd say next are the exit key functions and changing the col mesh of the go/world model so it's immobile. Both are essential, and both are the easist to implement on the to do list.

Maybe working on weapons built into the model or setting the mech go model to a crouching pose with a stairway coming out of it (so it seems feasible/realistic for a human to enter the mech) might be good choices. What would you like to see next?

how about first, setting the mech go model to a crouching pose with a stairway coming out of it, then exit key, then the weapons, then the go/world model

Well the go/world model is the crouching pose. I havn't done anything with poses per se, but it's high time to learn.

And I suppose we should split the mod into two. One a lore friendly mod with an actual quest and another that is just a mech sandbox where we throw together mechs to fight without any having to put all the effort and work into a full quest. The sandbox might be best implemented in teh most lore friendly manner by simply saying it's a VR simulation/game. That way we can just throw mechs together without having to worry about where or who found/created them, activating and repairing them etc. Just a nice little worldspace where they can fight and clobber each other.

dude we could just have fight ing the wide open area of around the Nipton Pit stop, one side being around Cresent Canyon East and the other being behind Nevada High Patrol station

I said all this earlier man

"ok, but since were going with Brotherhood of steel and enclave, here some stuff I thought of lorewise, there are bunkers on oppisite sides of the map ( or at least a huge empty area), one is an abandon Brotherhood of steel bunker with an abandon half finished robot, the adandon enclave bucker has the same, there is two "friendly" AIs on the computers at both of them what to finish before the other and they will give you the "keys" to the finished bot, somehow you can visit both before starting the one you chose to repair. After repairing that one, the other has been repaired by "Insert Unfriendly Repairman/ Pilot" who is pilot and going on a ramage, and now the AI ask you to please defeat the other for "reasons"(maybe destory the other AI and Pilot), Alternatly the AI (being one AI all this time) repaired the other by itself, install itself into the other robot, and now wants to kill you for "fun"?

The only good area I can think of is the area around the Nipton Pit stop, one side being around Cresent Canyon East and the other being behind Nevada High Patrol station but I dont think you get access to these bunkers until after getting to Vegas, maybe hide the keys (and maybe a note telling why these bunkers were abandon) in North Vegas Square playpark in the dirt(require shovel) cause the freeside Kids always somehow get near the really dangous loot."

OK maybe you just missed what I was trying to convey. We can fight *anywhere*, but I'm providing a way of allowing an instant fight that is lore friendly without having to create a story or all the rest of the work associated with a proper quest in a mod.....by utilizing a VR machine.
