evilhuggies Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 So I had downloaded a follower/companion over a year ago named Ekta the file was ekta.esp. I can't find any info, but I had originally found it on nexus. How do I know if it was banned or removed by author, or anything of that nature?
jet4571 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Search through the categories and if you do not find it then it is no longer hosted here. Why doesn't matter.
LOL50015 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Search through the categories and if you do not find it then it is no longer hosted here. Why doesn't matter. Well, it matters because it helps form an opinion on how tolerant this site is and if we should look elsewhere for certain stuff.
bben46 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Not every removed mod was banned - Many were removed by their author for various reasons. Some are -The mod had a problem and the author removed it to fix it, then either could not fix it or decided not to fix it..The author decided they no longer wished to support it and did not want to put up with people demanding that they make some change or fix.The author moved their mods to their own site - may have left a mirror, or not.The author decided to get out of modding altogether and didn't want to have to deal with leaving an orphaned mod behind. The author removed it in order to make a newer version that has not been uploaded yet. Reasons for the site staff removing a modThe mod violates a rule - most often it contained copyrighted contentThe original author has requested that their mod not be uploaded here ( unlike some sites we do honor that kind of request)Either it was a placeholder - or no mod was actually uploaded. ( rule violation)The mod was copied from some other site without the author's permission ( rule violation)
