isgod101
Ok well everything was fine until a few days ago. I got some mods and installed them correctly. I went into my game and then i got those big red exclamation points everywhere. Im using ArchiveInvalidate Invalidated! so i dont understand why its happening. I turned off all the new mods and figured out they were all causing the same problem. If i turned off a previously installed mod an turned on a new one it was fine. Whenever i get new mods it happens unless i turn something else off or combine some with FO3Edit.Any help?
Quetzlsacatanango
It is an issue with the game as far as I can tell. I have got around it by merging .esps with the FO3 plugin utility.

Blasphear
! mean that a model hasn't loaded. Make sure that when you install a mod everything goes in the right place
Quetzlsacatanango
I'm here to tell you that's not the case for the OP. There is a "magic number" of mods that can be loaded, well below the actual limit of ~254. It seems to be different for everyone that has this issue, it's still unclear. But when you hit it, you have the exact symptoms the OP describes - meshes will not load, textures will either not load or be "screwed up", sometimes controls don't work or NPCs/activators don't activate anymore. Getting down below the Number of Doom fixes the issue, and you do that by disabling activated mods or merging several .esps into one.It is not related to save game size as far as I can tell.It is not related to amount of RAM in the system.I have found no other common theme besides the number of loaded plugins. I hit it at around 140, for the record.
isgod101
I'm somewhere in the range of 140-150. I used FO3 Plugin Utility and it worked like a charm. Much better than combining with tessnip or FO3Edit. Thanks for the help.
