Lucidx
I like to play the game. Don't worry if you bump into something abnormal, because the game is a roleplaying game, its not meant to be played at a technical standpoint. There's no series of ways to access missions, all the DLC's are their own thing. Just explore and do quests, its a nonlinear game.
csb
I like to explore and immerse myself ... so realism mods and slow-leveling mods are usually things I add right away. So far I'm having fun just wandering the Wasteland and tending to quest things when I feel like it. Like Oblivion, it's easy to get side-tracked
devdrago12
Yeah, no hurt in exploring. There are a few glitches on the FO3 wiki I have found though. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Lost_Initiate like if you go through some metro tunnels the quest will be activated and main charicters of the side quest die, but that's very unlikely, 1, and 2- the quest only gives xp and caps- so no harm done. The only thing you REALLY have to look out for involving glitches is shalebridge. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Shalebridge A direct quote from the wiki: "...The latter two are rival ant colonies. It is considered to be the most bugged (no pun intended) area in the game." There are many fatal bugs in this area (lol) involving save corruption, CTDs, (these aren't even fatal :verymad: ) and an nearly impossible unamed quest, if you wish to collect certain items. However it may seem that these bugs may DEFINITELY affect your game, I haven't even encountered them, I didn't even know shalebridge existed until I went on the wiki. I'm going through my sixth/seventh ( ) playthrough (I lost count :wallbash: ) and am still glitch free. In fact, I haven't even downloaded any mods yet, and I'm still finding new stuff! Anyway, thanks for reading this wall of text, cuz I usually like to get detailed in giving informatin, glitches, etc. out there, so have a nice game! P.S. what kind of spaceship was it?? If it came from the sky in a huge explosion, then it could've been the "Firelance Event", a special encounter where you get a uber weapon called the firelance. "wow the raider just fell apart!" :whistling: P.S.S. first post- WOOT
W1slicer
It wasn't too bad of a wall. I'm still on my first play through, yeah I delayed a very long time getting the game. Not long enough for the GOTY version though :( Anyways, I felt like the main quest line went way too fast, I was almost completely done with it by the time I discovered that was all there was to it. Definitely not as deep a game as Oblivion, though the story is certainly equally interesting. I have yet to find any major bugs, but I think you definitely have to be careful, it's very easy to kill npcs that might be quest related, there are not as many essentials, so the game is a bit more open in that respect. I have however had many occasions where I started on a side-quest or unofficial quest, stopped, and came back later only to discover I could no longer get any credit or responses for the quest even though I hadn't done anything to disrupt it other than not doing it immediately. So it seems important to complete side and unofficial quests as soon as you can so they don't get bugged. A specific example of this was the quest to get Charon's contract in the Underworld by killing Charol, I didn't kill Charol immediately, but tried it later on and couldn't get a response out of any of the npcs about it even when she was dead. spammster
hell, you can mess up the main quest real good, you can skip like 3 or 4 quests. you can head to Smith Casey's Garage or Rivet City and skip all quests before that, however you can still do the GNR quest even if you skipped it (or just go talk to Agatha and listen to her music)

devdrago12
Either that or just don't kill anyone with a name- even Lug-nut. (even though all he does is try to scare you lol- (perception)that gun isn't chambered!) I use that rule a lot, unless there hostile to begin with like lug. But if you want to go extreme then don't kill them.
