Have you seen any good tutorials for KP/animation making for fallout? I wonder how difficult it will be.

 

Bit of a mixed bag. I only had a short time to work on it, so I'm not the best person to ask, but the actual animating wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. You make these "key" frames and blender interpolates the position of the skeleton between the key frames and fills them in. I leaned that blender is pretty good at that (at least with teh animation I was working on), and I didn't have to tweak or change it. But my animation was a protectron doing a "jig" and was pretty simple. The difficulty for me was getting it to work in geck/game.

 

At least all of the weapon grips, reloads and firing are standardized and you only need a subset of them for sniper types. I'm guessing you could get away with altering the existing animations and just tweaking the lower skeleton (mostly) without too much work/tedium. You also have the kneeling animation to use as the start of your prone animation, so that will save some time.

 

I'm afraid I don't have any good tutorials. I'v been meaning to learn myself, but.........so many projects going on.
