shinytickles
I have come across some nice armor that I like, but they come with a super shiny texture map that makes them too bright in any kind of ambient light. I tried to change the "material" setting attached to the meshes using NIFskope, taking down all the specular, glow and glossy values, buy it doesn't seem to so anything. Any ideas? Thanks! ipegot
You would have to change the normal map for the texture. If you have gimp and a normal map plugin (http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/~cocidius/normalmap/) you will need to open the texture and run the normal map filter. In the settings when you run the filter change the alpha channel to "height" (if you cant change the alpha channel duplicate the texture layer and then try again). Save the new image as "texturename"_n.dds. If you had to duplicate the layer just hide the original layer.
