Edwooger
Hello, I've been trying to gather the best mods for the most realism and high texture but I can never get all the mods to work :( here is a list of mods that I want to use for my modified game: XD(I don't know all the names from the top of my head but here is a list of everything I can recall seeing) The main overhauls (OOO, FCOM and any I might be missing)All objects can be thrown,Throwing weapons,Slow walk backwards (chance of falling),Camping mod (with cooking pot),Realistic combat!,Faster arrows,Realistic Lava,Weather Indoors,Bash doors and chests,Realistic Lock Picking,Animal Packs (Wolf packs, more deer and faster for hunting)More realistic prices,Wood names for bows and arrows,Rusty Armour textures,Heavier Loot,Vigor for Food and Water :P,Can't swim with Heavy Armour on,Random Enemies (no limit on bandits skill or loot so at high levels they will still have fur, low levels some will be much harder),More Wildlife,More useless loot like bones and fur,More Realistic Leveling! (including modded intelligence so it doesn't control mana output),Soap :D,Blood Effects (with soap),PJ custom outfits for sleeping ;),Potion belt (to quaff potions and poisons without using inventory),Time limit inventory during combat (I mean by this when equipping you can't take your time during combat!),Key Chain,More spells (just so I can heal others),Forget spells (to get rid of the rubbish),Fatigue Faster,Replace Fatigue with Stamina,Cursed Cuffs (need key),Can kill all NPCs,Loot all (not arena but so I can loot all other bodies),Can Loose Enemies in the Dark (so I can get away without being automatically found),Hunter's Pack,Different Rats of colour and sizes,Investigating Guards (they see you sneaking and follow you etc...)Underwater Flarous (however that is spelled),Harvest always successful,Gold Weight,Can Drop Gold,Steal Paintings,Interacting NPCs (they buy things, take things out of containers etc...),Pets,Objects like chairs can now be moved, -----------------TEXTURES: Higher res faces!,Rob's Better Bodies!,Better Bodies for Females (I also would like to armour replacements and for the overhauls!),Higher Textures for all textures,More attractive Lizards and Catmen (I never could get these to work please tell me now!),Sexier Raiment (for the other team as well if possible),Water Effects,Reflections,Glowing Windows at night,Better Night Sky,Wet Effects in water,Water Droplets on Avatar,Female Demoniac, :thanks: Thank you for reading! This is a list from the top of my head that I would like to get working on my Oblivion game! All these mods exist but I never have managed to get all of them working. I know there is another Overhaul but can't remember the name and also a Patch to make all interact with each other. But I would like to know the order of which I should install them all and the order they should be on the mod list :P I could like the armour and clothing to match that of the better bodies for females, If I have to give up my rusty armour for that then so be it! But still I never got it working for the overhauls though I have found the patch that was suppose to do it.I have had invisible bodies before as I think some of the clothing from the NPCs of Overhaul doesn't work. Sexier bodies for all beast races and demons never got working either so if anyone has any advice please let me know :) I only have the original game so if I need the expansion to get any of these working please let me know :)Again thanks for reading and I hope someone can find the answer to my problem! Until then I will be modding System Shock Two, Sims Three & Civilization Four ;)Hope to hear from you soon and all the best with your PC modding experience ~Ed. dezdimona
The "read me's" will contain all the info you need for a particular mod to work, hence the name "read me" then you need a load order and it just so happens I have one. also get OBMM for easy mod installation and removal. It also notifys you of conflicts General Load-Order GuidelinesHere are the guidelines that I adhere to, personally. ~ Unofficial Oblivon Patch should always be first on the list. The fixes are great, but most aren't essential, so if a mod overwrites them its not a big deal, and the fixes have the potential for screwing up other mods if loaded later. ~ Offical Content (DLC's) should be loaded last, until you complete all quests associated with them (that includes buying all furniture for the houses and whatnot). Once they're complete, they can be safely moved up in the list. This is especially important for Knights of the Nine, which will have some fairly major problems unless loaded last (unless you get the UOP for KotN) ~ Major overhaul mods (OOO, Frans, MMM) should be loaded near the end. That gives you the most complete experience with any of those particular mods. It also lets you carefully choose which other mods to load afterwards... only move mods that you know will conflict and that you want the changes from. For example, I have Improved Soul Gems below OOO because I know that OOO changes the icons of some of the SG's, and ISG needs to be below to show through. Some people will recommend putting larger mods first, but personally I disagree. There are a number of mods out there that make minor tweaks, and loading after a large mod will end up completely overwriting a chunk from one of the bigger mods because of the way conflicts work in Oblivion (even one minor change will take precedence over the entire record... for example, simply tweaking the speed of a weapon can cause every stat of that weapon to be retained to vanilla levels if loaded later). So basically, it stacks up like this... Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch<Minor Mods / DLC's (Post-Completion)><Major Overhaul Mod/Mods><Mods that specifically conflict with overhauls and need to take precedence><DLC's (Pre-Completion)>Note: If using Mayu's Overhaul Mod. I recommend loading it after OOO or MMM Expanded Load-Order Guidelinesby dev_akm I would extend this to include: Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch<Weather/Environment/Sound Mods><Minor Mods/New Items/Houses/DLC's (Post-Completion)><Major Overhaul Mods><Mods that specifically conflict with overhauls and need to take precedence><DLC's (Pre-Completion)><Quests><Compatibility Patches/UOMP/Merged Leveled Lists> And a special-case warning for Knights.esp (Knights of the Nine) -- you may not be able to move it earlier than some other mods (some people have had problems after moving it before OOO, for example). That's basically the structure I use and I have 140+ mods working well together. Another way of describing this (posted by DMan77):....Oblivionunoffical patchDeeper realism mods that add sights and soundsadded content like weapons/itemsgameplay changes, like 'must eat and sleep'The OOO typethe 'new begining' type mod................................................................................................... octavius243
If you want to use lots of mods with minimal problems you need to use BOSS to sort the load order and Wrye Bash to make a Bashed Patch. Many mods also need to be "cleaned" with TES4EDIT to maximize stability. And to maximize compatibility TES4EDIT is a great tool for finding and fixing conflicts.
