RyanLP Posted September 8, 2009 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Look, before anyone starts to try and rip at me for this, you're right I don't mod so I can't really do anything, well anyway back to my point. Anybody else getting sick of how many ridiculous mature content mods there are for this game? I don't mean any disrespect to the modders, it's been good work, but honestly it's like putting talent to waste. There's like 300 mods for kinky clothing and bodies and stuff. The worst part is, it's great modding! But on the other hand, we've only got like 10 really good armor/clothing mods for the regular players. I feel like this is turning into a huge porn game and people are forgetting about the other aspects of the game. I was just looking through oblivion, and there was some cool stuff for those mods, but it's been so long and a lot of the good mods that have shown up for Fallout 3 are mature content. By the way, does anybody know any good male hair mods? I'd like some more options rather than the vanilla stuff and most of the stuff I see is female hair. What I'm saying is that very talented people are doing the same mods over and over again when Fallout mods are capable of so many things that haven't been done. By the way, how is it realistic that really hot women decide to wear g strings or leave their tits hanging out in a trashed apocolyptic world while fighting gun battles with vikings, mutants, mutated monsters, and robots? Haha I know what you mean with prostitution though, sure that's realistic to an extent. But you're right yevick, "wasting their talents" was a poor choice of words. It really isn't a waste if it's what they want to create. I just wish that we'd get some more cool mods going like coyote reflex power armor or reinforced chinese stealth armor. I just looked though several pages of armor mods and the vast majority were simple retextures of vanilla armors. That means they aren't "mature content". You and the other "regular" players have plenty of selections to make. Unless you sign a disclaimer stating that you are an adult and willing to see adult only content then you won't see it. How much more do you have to be protected from yourself? If you want to know of any hair mods on Nexus, then try looking at the category "Hair and Face Models". There are currently only (59) listings, so it shouldn't take you too long to go through them all. You probably want to check them out before there are (69). I do see your point though.... but still... should we really complain about T&A? =/ The reason why you see a huge surge of adult related material in Fo3 and Oblivion is that the games are editable, and sandbox type. Which means, players can not only do what they want, but if they have enough skill, they can MAKE what they want. Maybe if other video games werent so completely devoid of sexual acts, (GTA aside) then people wouldnt be so starved for sex-related stuff, and Fallout3 mod community wouldnt be so overloaded with it :) (if you cant get your fix from commercial products, make your own fun!) So to sum up, the reason why you see so much of it here, is because you see so little of it everywhere else. and another thing, breasts have always been around. Look at art throughout history. Almost each and every renaissance artist included atleast 1 set of boobs in each painting. Even religious-oriented ones had tons of nudity. Its human nature, and when humans are given tools to facilitate their needs and desires, they do so as they see fit :) THeres plenty of non-sex games out there... i for one like having something new and refreshing. I thought breasts were invented around the liberal movement of the 1960's Anyways.A man can't change the world by sitting on his butt, a man can only change the world through his actions. If you want family appropriate mods then make them yourself and stop telling modders what to do. Also, it has probably been stated that, skimpy or tight clothing are much easier to mod and make than extremely complex clothing models, especially if you want them to look and move correctly. I'm just saying that there's so much of it and I haven't seen any cool new normal armors in a while. And Tony, I clearly said that I KNOW THAT. Your comment was unnecessary. If you read what I said, I'm not complaining about the mods, I'm just saying I wish that people would take on other things seeing as to how we have so much of the same mature content going on over and over. There's so many body type mods and kinky clothing mods out there already. @OHWceta Yeah I guess that kind of makes sense that they would work with tighter clothes. By the way to everyone getting so worked up about this. I've made some clear statements as to specify the fact that I'm not complaining about their work, it's called contructive criticism. It's a simple suggestion, and I posted to see if anybody was feeling similarly rather than to attract people who disagree. If you disagree then just ignore it and move on, I'm not attacking anyone so there's no reason to try and attack me. This section of the forums is general mod talk, and that's what I'm talking about. Mods in general. :P Oh, but I forgot about the title; my mistake it does seem a bit hostile. I was just trying to attract people's attention to if they were thinking the same way as I am. No girl would dress that hot and get into awesome fights. But if we are going to go on about realisticness and crap, c'mon this is Fallout 3 it's a game and anything can happen so sure it could make sense.
