jimbow86
I have been using the mod for Jessi Companion. But i have been noticing the dialogue locking up where she wont talk any longer. The author have a work a round but it only works for a short period. The only thing that wont mess up the dialogue of Jessi is if you wont talk to her at all. As far as i know there is no fix for the mod coming out any time soon. I was wondering if any one know how to fix this mod or is anyone else is having troubles for this mod. Thanks :wallbash:
mechine
eyah sure, open it up with FO3edit an then fix it. You usually load the whole load order when using FO3edit. If you ask me... Any 3rd party created fix for something in the form of a plug in or compatability patch is just making things worse. For one the person that made that fix/patch doesn't use the mods you use, or in the order you use them. In a perfect world where you had a whole load order worth of mods then only one mod was causing a conflict then hey it's probably more probable that the fix/patch would work without making things worse but that's not the case, and even then it's one fix/patch designed to fit 4,000,000 custom load orders. Idk if you ask meh... 1. the first step would be getting fallout installed clean with 1.7, an then test that in game without mods to see how well it's running get a base line, an also work out some settings, tweek guide, or the klite codec pack, ect. Really test the crap out of it though try to get fallout to crash, try to make it crash, run around crazy. 2. Add/install DLC's then test the game again, running around crazy... 3. Start installing mods after the test part is over, start with the mods that are the most complex or giving you troubles Like the FACE mod, it's complex, so it's probably better to install that first an get it working well, Or like the 80 or more mods that just add a few armors or a few guns, install all those then combine all of them into one, to lower the max number of mods run at one time, I think it's around 250, but combining things after you already have tons of stuff installed Is almost impossible difficulty. 4. Merge patch process with FO3edit (different from merging two or more mods into one) 5. OverRide process which is just a first draft at this point links below http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=149252 http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=149264 I bet a soda pop that what happened is that another mod overwrote what the Jessi Companion added to dialog. So the simple fix is to use FO3edit to move that data over to the furthest to the right in the multiple entry listthe last to the right is what fallout 3 uses. However, you can't add all things to the right, which is where the overrides an merge patch come inas they use multiple .esm an .esp as master's, meaning that you can use anything in those that are added as mastersto either the mergepatch.esp or OverRideV3dialog.esp you created.
