Bizzare Point Lookout glitch.

That is by far the most unusual bug I've ever seen in Fallout 3. Imagine that: I'm running towards Calverton Mansion. Usual shootout with some deformed guys and I'm at the door. Desmond asks for help, more shooting, some guy falls from the ceiling... all things normal. So I'm going upstairs, blow some woman to pieces when she tried to squeeze through a hole in the door, and the fun stops. Desmond says something about blocking the hole with explosion and asks me to use grenades. I'm tossing some into the room, then shooting the missile launcher inside... and nothing happens. No falling rubble. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Quick net search and I find the video walkthrough: it's painfully simple. Just have to shoot some object that looks like red pressurized gas tank, sitting between the wardrobe and that big steel rail. OK. So I'm launching my favourite game, loading the last save, and... bummer. There is no red gas tank. None at all. Bah, load glitch. No. Fo3edit detected no conflicts on that matter. Just like it was not present. So I rushed to GECK... Scanned the whole Calverton Mansion object list and there is no red thingy. You know, the one that looks like Health Dispenser from Operation Anchorage. And no. Activator is there, but is not linked to anything.

 

Does anyone know what happened? Does any patch correct this?

Updating is the best option, it is only present in isolated cases and you should try disabling all your mods see if it helps but it may not, you can use console commands to progress but it takes all the fun out of it

maybe i still think FOOK and MMM have alot of bugs but then again try downloading PL again sometimes live dose not download everthing it needs, i dont have this bug but i know some people who do and none have fixed it so farr

Re-downloading PL does not help, disabling all .esp files or loading Point Lookout last does not help... Fo3masterupdate allows me to load it last without problem. No mod conflict detected, so PL's data is not overwritten. I've loaded PL into GECK and frankly, I don't even know what to look for. In cell view the rooms (both ones that should be exploded by player) are already collapsed. I'll try to locate the dummy cells 'from before'. Explosion activator is present, but it is not linked to any item. No 'red gas tank' .nif is referenced in .esm, however it should be there (I'm assuming that PL is playable without Anchorage). Also, could anyone who is NOT experiencing that glitch open PL in GECK and copy the quest stages from DLC04MQ02 (you know, the quest with Tribal attack on Calvert Mansion), then post it here?
