BeastlyBeast
Hey, guys. I just had this idea for a mod or an MCM that allows more flexibility and ease with playing the type of player you want, without needing to immediately accept the fate of being the dragonborn. Now, before you suggest, Skyrim Unbound or the popular Alternate Start mod, know that, that is not the type of mod I'm asking for. I'm asking for a mod that would rather complement those alternate start mods. It's hard to describe without an example, so I'll give you one. Suppose you want to roleplay as a... rich drunkard who owns Breezehome in Whiterun, who will do next to anything to get extra coin and extra drinks. Now, sure, you could download an alternate start mod that allows you to automatically own Breezehome, but where are the clothes that show how rich I am? Where is the ale to show that I am a drunk? Why am I starting out with 160 coins when I am rich - why don't I have 2000 or more coins? See what I am getting at? These alternate start mods can't think up everything for you, so I was thinking let's make a mod that can. An MCM menu that would allow to to set various traits for your character such as: Wealth (Dirt Poor, Poor, Average, Rich, Filthy Rich)Class (Choose from a fighting style, a specific job, or just 'Citizen')Miscellaneous Traits (Is my character... a drunk?... a farmer?... a glutton?...etc) Once you set up your character in the menu, then the game would give you the objects you would need to roleplay as that specific type of character. This way, if you WANTED to play as that prosperous drunkard, you wouldn't need to... oh, kill Nazeem with console commands so you can steal his 'rich guy clothes' give yourself 2000 gold through console commands and then save in Breezehome ready to TRULY roleplay. (If you're wondering why I'm being so descriptive and specific, this is the specific role I'd love to try out. LOL) If anyone could make this mod or point me to one like this, that'd be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Lageron1
Well, it can't help you with owning breezehome, but Skyrim Unbound had a update some time ago. And it adds into the MCM menu options where you choose not a class, but which weapons, clothes or robes, light or heavy armor, gold amount, rags if you want, and so on. I see your point, and this might not add all the things you want. But it got some of them.
AneyPL
Well ... i don't know what to say , cause you describe one of my dream mods. Its great idea. It will be great abount bounty . If you were catched on murder or robery , guards will remember you and they'll follow you from afar and Keep telling you "don't steal anything now . I've got and eye on you" Some people will go away from you etc. And how you said about robes that tell how rich i am ; it should be more like effect on you. when you get a illness everybody tell you : "You look bad" . It could work the same way . And robbes won't change your existence. If you are a homless you won't have possibility to talk with Jarl without safe-conduct , and rich people won't talk to you normaly - "just go away or something". Other way , if you are rich , homeless people will asking you about money or follow you quietly and then attack you . Some guilds will be closed for you like a thiefs guild - they will lock doors and play someone else. That is what i'd like to add.
BeastlyBeast
This could probably be moved to the mod talk forum, because I am actually working on this. It didn't look like more than a few people uninterested in actually making it would want the mod, so I just made a character and a whole dialogue. I still need to record the dialogue, make sure it flows correctly, the. Make a spell where you summon him, talk to him and then he disappears (kinda like imaginator) but then it'll be ready. It only took a few hours to get about 70% done. :D Edit: it's even a bit more complicated than what I wrote, but still. I'm still probably around 60-70% done. Believe it or not, this isn't too hard to make. Hardest part is probably going to be the scripting and that should be relatively simple scripting, so I'm happy. :) Edited March 18, 2014 by BeastlyBeast
