Demeggy
Lo all again, this time, i'm having a daft little problem with getting a large amount of text into a dialogue. Ive looked around and the general consensus is that you need to split your text up and put it into new topics that follow on from each other. At current, Ive got 2 topics; topiccompq31 - "The sentence starts like this and then..."topicompq311 - "...Needs to carry on in a new topic because I've run out of all 150 characters to type in." I have tried put topicompq311 into the choices box, but obviously, it isn't a choice, so I don't want to label 311 with Topic Text, which would make it appear to be a choice from the player. Not putting in a title crashes this ingame. I reckon it's incredibly simple what Im aiming to do, but unfortunately, I can't see the wood for the GECK. Cheers for any help. steelplate
I thought that too mate. Made a huge mess of my dialoguequest because I was adding new topic, after new topic, after new topic, just to follow on the text. Turns out you can place multiple responses in the one topic, just by adding a new line of dialogue. So when you've got your one "Topiccomp31" and you've added the reply. In the lower window (just above the conditions window), you'll see the reply you've just made. Right click in that window and add a New entry. Voila! You've got yourself a halfway lengthy conversation! Hope that helped dude, also, in the future, spot this kind of Q into the troubleshoot board.
