game freeze at the level-up screen

EDIT: ok, listen carfully. with this saved game, what I found was, you ported into the vault. there is no hatch switch in casey's garge down stairs so the hatch is closed, you can't do that, so that means the switch script was skipped, that being so, you have that still trying to fire,

any way's before getting into the lounger, go to the terminal on the vault wall near a door, hack that, go inside and place almost everything you have. close the locker open your pipboy an apply stimpacks, do not get into that longer injured as you are ,that is what is causing the freeze at level up, these two things.

 

you cheated. can't cheat your way through the game. any way. in that room, you may see weapons, First aid boxes, take all medical items / loot except what you brought in. why? well, because #1, I believe some things were achieved at the wrong expense. does matter here.

 

#2. you have anchorage Enabled, are carrying A23's pulse riffle, which means the quest were done out of sequence. it matters.

 

in the TL scene, just as the old guy, talks to you, go directly to the abandoned house, do not interact with any one, hack the release terminal hidden to escape TL, activate the assault. while all the shooting is going on, don't waste any time, leave, don't talk to any one, just leave.

 

on exit, with DAD, make the talk as short as possible and leave, when you get to that hatch ,tcl through it, open the hatch and wait for dad to leave, follow him out.

 

at this time, the game should have purged the bad data........but, you can not run this saved game with anchorage Enabled to clear its code, understand?......well, that is reaching, this is very complicated.

 

your saved game is paused at the stair case here because I needed to post to you. it can sit there all day long, it does not prevent me from loading another instance of fallout 3 or any game. So, you try it and let me know what takes place.

 

Remember, heal your self first before enabling the TL lounger.

there is no hatch switch in casey's garge down stairs - there is a lever on the wall down the stairs, I always close doors and hatches it makes me feel save lol

A23's pulse riffle - you get from the android from the zimmer quest

 

some how I cant disable anchorage, I tried disabling it but no succes

 

Thanks for the new save :smile: (I have a few programms running at the moment that I cant close now I will check the new save later this evening)

I will check that out but it says science lab?

 

EDIT: owh and I cant hack that terminal my science is to low(I cleared the other rooms before making that save, small vault it is those guys must have been in TL for a long time without getting out poor old souls :P )

yeah I see the switch on the wall was in the up position, here , see, is the problem ,dad ,when he hit that hatch, started to vibrate ,it made me very dizzy, the game, went bananas because that hatch is supposed to be open. now. understand, what we are discussing here are no semantics, we are disusing how the engine does things ,there is order in chaos <-------

 

as the hatch opened up, My rig can handle points where most rigs will just crash ,kaput, asta la Vista baby sort of thing.

 

sense it can not crash, it does rubber-banding, vibrate, go nuts' screen tear, just plain throws fits because the code to shut down the engine is being blocked. I don't screw around with others data any more. I fix it.

 

If anchorage does not disengage, manually edit the app\fallout3\plugin.txt file and delete the anchorage entry and save it.

 

I have another advantage too, I am skilled at multi tasking many different games at once. Environment handling. smaller PC's can't handle it. some times, and it does depend on the mods, mine can't handle it so there is no free ride here.

 

yes, I ran the saved game all the way back to rivet city and hard saved where dad just entered the lab.

 

ok, back up ,when I opened up the hatch, DAD "vault 101" would not move, no animation as in frozen solid, but, when I moved toward the door? he ....like that of a statue, popped 6 feet at a time, from point to point, and never turned, he remained in that state facing the wall he was facing while trapped under that hatch. what he, that avatar was stuck in was a teleport marker. in the geck, these are rendered as yellow. hmm, I use tools in game to see, bounding markers, walls, fields, cell dividers, collision markers, variables, and can turn on DX view, raw data. I inspect data ,that's all I really ever do .

 

it would serve you no purpose to use such things. so as I headed toward the door way ,it was like a slid show, there was no gradual visual movement detected.

I know what it was, it was hard core fourced save from inside the engine stuck, the instant I hit esc key and hard saved at the door, he was released from his binding. this is a game flaw, the flaw was introduced by your actions,

 

fallout games, or the source of all Evil, have bugs. they can be avoided and never seen. but, the type of RPG game it is, you are allowed free will, man can not program into any game, predicable free will. so, we, cause the bugs to show up.

 

there IS ( order in chaos) , if you trip that order? you open a Pandora box.

C:\Users\cj\AppData\Local\Fallout3\Plugin.txt <---is all that matters at this moment in time.

the saved game I sent back does not / no longer list anchorage any more so , whatever or how ever you have things set up there ,is the problem. a saved game is the key.

OMG Its fixed

Sorry and thanks but I didnt use your save

I disabled the anchorage trough that file ( it did automaticly check it again after launching game but the 3rd time it stayed off)

I'm now chilling on this bench talking to some guy whos like omg they trapped another in this place, poor kid

but your stimpack health thing also helped :)

honestly that is wierd because why would my health be linked to my level-up status...
