Technology.

 

It doesn't take THAT much for them to make an Oblivion two with Engine related fixes and heavy support to modding. They don't even need quests. Maybe hire some professional voice actors and tell them to help the major mod teams.

They make almost no changes to the engine and make a mod called Fallout 3

Spot on.

 

I really don't see what takes so much time from the programmers? I mean the world design isn't the programmers matter unless they generate the terrain with code which I highly doubt...

 

The combat system could definitely be improved then just button mashing but that's what we have mods for, right?

Sorry, I do not mean to upset the path of this discussion. You can continue after my issue.

 

I downloaded and set up the Unnessesary Violence mod. But when I restarted the game to get it to work, it did nothing. I tried to follow the readme that came with the mod, but it was complicated to follow. How were you able to get it to work, because I am completely lost.

Well you have to remember that oblivion is designed to be played on a console, by console players.......

oblivion was a PC game long before it was let loose for the console crowd! get your information right!
