I am working on a mod, that changes Skyrim's enonomy by changing the item-values. Since the changes are pretty noticeable, mods that add items tend to break the balancing. I can't figure out how to change a mod's items with another esp. For example: The mod I am experimenting with is cloaks of Skyrim. I tried different techniques to get just the cloaks into a separate esp, and change them. Unfortunately my esp doesn't change the cloaks, but adds new ones. How would I change the items added by another mod, without editing the actual files of the other mod (So everyone would have to have both, the mod and my compatibility patch (Of course I don't want to include the work of other modauthors in my mod))?
