RalphWB
I run Oblivion goty without the SI or KON addons.win xp .ATI 4670 pcie 1gb video card 3 gigs ram. So far all I have as far as mods are the 1.2.0416 patch, the unofficial Oblivion patch v-3 the fine silver longsword and Slofs basic horse files. but apparently there are some conflicts with slofs horses. I ran the conflict utility in OBMM and it had some conflicts with the rest of the game. how do I resolve the conflicts? should I just remove the items in red? or the textures for those particular conflicts or what? octavius243
OBMM is useless for sorting conflicts. You need TES4EDIT for that. That utility will show the excact conflict and will allow you to edit if needed. But remember that not nearly all conflicts are bad. The UOP will conflict with just about every game, since it edits so *much*, so I wouldn't worry about that as long as your other mods load *after* the UOP. If Slof's Horse is loaded before it that could possibly cause problems.
SceneGG
Wrye Bash is also a very handy tool to use to make mods compatible
bben46
Most of the conflicts listed in OBMM are just notifications of what overwrites what. Many mods overwrite on purpose - for instance to change the color (texture) of an object, or the shape (Mesh) of an object. So most of those listed conflicts are useless unless you know which ones should not be overwritten. Slof's horses should show a conflict with just about any original game horse file. With just those few mods, your load order should be Oblivion. esmunofficial Oblivion patchSlof's Horsessilver longsword The official patch will not show in your load order as it is a true patch and not a mod. It actually makes changes to the Oblivion.exe and Oblivion.esm game files on your hard drive. The unofficial patch is actually a mod and not a true patch as it does not change anything in the Oblivion.exe or Oblivion.esm. Instead it modifies them (definition of a mod) at run each time you start the game. Every time you start the game it loads the mods in the load order shown in OBMM. And various things get overwritten at this time. That is why load order can be very important.
